    Raphael Varane

Actually I'd say Pepe wants to be more like Roy Keane

    Cesc Fàbregas

I don't see the need to change the system. This was one bad game and we will bounce back. After all we do have the away goals advantage right now. I agree it's a shame that we didn't beat them considering all the players missing from their lineup. However that was because our team wasn't...

    Cesc Fàbregas

Fabregas is doing fine but the only problem is that if we play him, we are more vulnerable to counterattacks because of the more direct approach. He's more useful against Madrid when they are tired and we are playing confidently in both attack and defense.

    David Villa

.......I know we don't know as much as the coaches and are outsiders, but bringing Alexis in over Villa was stupid.

    Raphael Varane

Multiple amazing tackles and the goal from what i saw on the live commentary. I only watched the first half (which he performed amazingly in) but I am hearing that his 2nd half performance was even better.

    Man of the Match thread

    Varane.

    Marquinhos

This may be really petty but Varane's performance today made me jealous of Real and made me realize how much having a young and phenomenal CB could help our squad. Marquinhos could do that for us and I hope Barcelona show some serious interest sooner or later (hopefully the summer transfer window)

    Xavi Hernández

In the first half he was rather poor I'd say.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

I doubt he played THAT bad. Granted I didn't get to watch the entire match but you guys can't channel all your frustration to Messi. After all others performed rather poorly as well.

    Raphael Varane

Classy player, immensely talented youngster. What a great Clasico debut from him. I have a sad feeling he is gonna cause us a lot of trouble in future Clasicos and it's a shame that Real have him instead of us.

Who will win the Champions League?

I don't think Juve would be a real upset. Maybe a little surprising-ish but not an upset or anything. Dortmund seem really hit or miss to me. It seems like either they go extremely far or not so much. Dunno if they have the same choker mentality as Bayern yet

    David Villa

Yea I don't see why not, but I doubt the coaches would do it. Besides, with Pedro performing it's not like we're in a dire need of a new goalscorer on the right.

    David Villa

I guess one factor as to why he doesn't try the right is reluctance from him or Tito. Playing Villa on the right would change the system (Which is working really well) and force Villa to adapt even though he's in the twilight of his career. It's too much of a hassle on a player who could...

    Thiago Translantara

I don't think Roberto can dictate a game well enough to replace Xavi. If Samper does impress within the next couple of years he can take the distribution role off of Thiago and let him use his skills and flair in a more attacking role. If not, I can see Thiago developing into a Xavi-esque player...

    Luis Alberto Romero

I wish..... He's kind of in the no mans land area. Not a good enough midfielder to take off Cesc/Iniesta/Thiago and not a good enough forward to take off Messi. He's too good of a talent to be relegated to the bench and rotating between AM/CF when we are resting first team players. I wish him...

    David Villa

No but I don't see why trying him there would hurt. He is 2 footed and an Iniesta-Messi-Villa lineup would be deadly. Although Pedro is recovering his scoring boots now so it's not a huge issue.
  17. DonAndres

    Alexis Sanchez

Might fix his balance, but in high pressure goalscoring situations where he can't finish or think straight, would it really help much?
  18. DonAndres

    Mario Balotelli

Not sure which side of the transfer is dumber.......Balotelli for leaving a club who actually tolerated him for god knows what reason or Milan for buying a complete lunatic.

    Neymar - v2

I never said tone down on the flair. Just the useless holding on to the ball or doing tricks just to show off. He's gonna have to trade showmanship for efficiency. Especially since he is not the main man. Dinho didn't have that problem because he was the main attacker. If some of his skills are...

Congrats to Villa on his newborn!
