Transfers and Rumours - old thread

 Bojan taking a tour of all the Italian clubs. Honestly if he comes back to Barcelona he'll probably sit on the bench for one season before being loaned/sold to some la liga club.

    Neymar - v2

Neymar learning to play on the right is a very good thing. If he moves to Europe, he might find it too hard to be an extremely consistent goalscorer because of the way he operates in space in Brazil (note that I'm not saying that he can't score at all). His recent development is making him lean...

Couldn't watch the game. How was his overall performance?

    Neymar - v2

He's gotten less selfish but he does unnecessarily hold on to the ball far too long sometimes. Obviously Barcelona will knock that out of him when he comes though. He needs to gain weight and cut out the diving because that will build a horrible reputation for him. I wonder if he and Dani will...

    Marc Muniesa

Well in theory yes, but do you honestly believe that the board will buy a new cb? Goalkeeper, probably (even then I'm not sure what kind of quality we will get). Until some truly solid interest is shown in a CB, I'm not ready to believe the club has taken a turn for the better in terms of transfers.

    Marc Muniesa

Playing Masch is a gamble, but one we'll have to live with for a while I suspect. Although our defense will be stronger in coming seasons as Montoya starts to overtake Alves.

    Gerard Deulofeu

Yea I agree on that. Deulofeu has improved on his ball hogging but it's still an issue. I expect that when he gets to the first team and he isn't the big fish in the small pond, he'll play more unselfishly and work harder as well. He has a lot to improve and his ego could really hold him back on...

    Marc Muniesa

Well Muni is not going to suddenly become a regular starter tomorrow. He'll slowly be integrated into the squad as Puyol gets older and by the time he is 23 he will be rotating with Masch and Bartra. If he impresses enough, it won't be long before he claims a starting role over them by the time...

    Gerard Deulofeu

Not sure if he plays there right now but you can bet that he will have to adapt to playing on both wings when he comes to barca. Don't take his entire playing style to heart right now because he will look completely different when playing in Europe, and most importantly, for a team like Barcelona.

    Marc Muniesa

Hummels will likely be no less than 30-40 million and after the transfer of Neymar, I doubt we will show any interest in him. Plus the window of opportunity to buy him will likely be shut very soon as Dortmund are becoming European superpowers and will not be able to afford to sell star players...

    Gerard Deulofeu

I'd hate it if the battle ends up with Deulofeu vs Neymar for left wing. If that happens, Neymar will obviously be higher in the pecking order than Deulo because of age+price tag. Although I find it likely that Neymar will find it too hard to score in Europe often without operating with huge...

    Cesc Fàbregas

I have a feeling he'll play against Getafe and will help us keep a clean sheet. Dunno why, just a hunch though ;)

    FC Barcelona B (Barça Atlètic)

If they end up being toe to toe in terms of talent and ability, it'll be the one who is more versatile and multi-talented who gets picked.

    FC Barcelona B (Barça Atlètic)

Dongou has a lot of raw talent and the potential is there. He has the strength, the speed, and he's been taught the Barcelona philosophy. I just hope that he can round everything up and refine into a truly great x factor player that we need against tough teams. And thankfully, he isn't letting...

    Cesc Fàbregas

Exactly. It's as limiting on attack as it is crippling on defense. Alves is in great form but Montoya is simply the better option to pair with Alba.
  18. DonAndres

    Cesc Fàbregas

Well truthfully in a 4-3-3 there should be 3 defenders guarding when the team is attacking. If the team is attacking down the right then the 2 CB's and the left back should be focused on defense and if the team is attacking down the left, it should be the 2 CB's and the right back defending...

    Andrés Iniesta

Well most of our play was in the right-side area with Alves pushing far up. This caused everyone to drift more towards the right and Iniesta did that too to get more involved in play.

    Marc Muniesa

I dunno, there are a lot of youngsters who make miraculous comebacks in form after cutting out injuries (Baptistao, Camacho, hell even Thiago counts considering all the injuries he's had). And playing for the B team will definitely get him the match time and conditioning he needs to make a...
