I wouldn't compare him to CR that much anymore. Deulo has MUCH more ball control and agility which allows him to dribble through/in between 3-4 defenders at a time whereas Cristiano relies mainly on speed and open space. Also Cristiano has that premier league side on him with his aerial prowess...

Martinez isn't a CB either and Bilbao didn't want to sell so they asked for an unreasonably high price that Bayern agreed to pay for some reason. I didn't like how Bielsa utilized him as a CB last season because he was very restricted and is much better as a DM.

I've never rated Agger too highly personally Vermaelen is absolutely the most overrated defender in the world. To Arsenal fans one good performance from him makes up for 9 or 10 subsequently horrible games with several errors and no solid defending whatsoever.

I don't see how the height matters at all because Deulofeu has never done anything noteworthy in the air. He's definitely a ground player.

It's not like Sterling breaking into the Liverpool first team is nearly as big of a deal or as difficult to manage as Deulofeu breaking into the Barcelona first team.
