He was better in midfield and it's not like it was just him that guided us to the finals. Bielsa's system was clicking at the time and all of the players were playing with heart, energy, and purpose. To say that it was because he was a CB is foolish.

Martinez was very limited in the CB role. He's better as a holding midfielder and can flourish in both the attacking and defensive sides of the game there. He's been world class partnering up with Schweinsteiger this season in that role.
