If the league is built for Real and Barca to succeed no matter what then you basically already have an entire country backing you. Besides, the argument was about the strength of the respective leagues, and Chelsea finished 6th and 4th the years they won it.
6 CLs in 10 years becomes a lot less impressive when you realise they're all from the same two teams that the entire league is built to maximise the output of, the ONLY two La Liga teams that have ever won it.
Even though it was only a draw I think Chelsea kinda put their cock on the table with this performance. They were with 10 men for most of the game and looked more likely to score for most of it too.
Saka has had some big moments for England. He's also basically flawless off the ball, which managers love. I think Saka and Gordon will the bet the starters for England, and Palmer/Madueke and Rashford will be the finishers.
Doesn't that happen in every league though, it's just that the chasing pack is not good enough to make it count? Madrid and Barca have both been quite poor this season, yet they're both at the top of the league.
