Puyol is far from just "above average". I'd say that's what he's been this season due to injury and age, but in previous years he was among the best in the world. It's not just that he plays with heart, it's that his leadership greatly helps organize the rest of the defense as well which is key.

We were dominated but that's to be expected. B team in the 2nd half performed very well and held their ground. Messi didn't get much of a chance because of the little service he got though.

+1 I was surprised at how organized the B team was. They weren't very threatening but really played much better than they looked under Eusebio and against a side like Bayern too.
