Played as a deep midfielder most of the time but like Oliver, he roamed to the wing areas occasionally to help with buildup play. Overall his best position seems to be in a mobile deep lying playmaker role, not as a winger.

Should've been more, Sao Paulo are sitting deep and defending a lot plus Ceni had an amazing game in goal. Other than that Bayern dominated and could've scored a few more.

Actually I'd say his 4-1-4-1 is a very flexible system which works the flanks with great effect, something that gives Bayern an advantage.

I find Denis kind of overrated, seems like a poor man's Silva with less technique and involvement. He can develop well but so far I don't see where all the hype comes from.

The team lacks balance. Iker Hernandez, Sandro, Adama, Ruben Blanco, and Jose Rodriguez are the talented ones but most of the rest look out of place. The plus side is that the team does have some amazing individual talents, but as a team is just flat out disappointing.

The Thiago part is kind of biased IMO. Every time he played, Thiago gave it his all and was a very team oriented player, he didn't have the movement or workrate of Roberto but easily made it up in all the other categories. Having some patriotic or romantic view of a team doesn't actually make...
