I think you have to factor in that South American sides are so awkward to play against as well and play like it's the 1980s and the referees allow it. The Copa America probably has more strength in depth now than even the Euros and the top teams are as strong. To win this competition Argentina... -

Tevez starting left, Messi right and interchange. Bring Di Maria on after an hour to mix it up, or start him in midfield. If he was at the top of his game then play him left, but he's not playing well. -

Try Messi, Aguero and Tevez as the MSN equivalent. Keep Higuain away from it, he's a waste of space. Where's Dybala or Vietto? Di Maria would be a handy sub to run at tiring defences along with Messi. Tata is terrible at in game changes though. -

In fairness to the kit though if that's the difference between having MSN and not then at least there's a strong argument for it. Other clubs would have more spending power otherwise as Barca had a lot of debt and no outside source of spending like City or PSG. It was probably time to do it...- Ritchie

To be fair to Pep while MVP were excellent MSN in that side would have made Barca simply unbeatable. They'd have probably broke down the parked buses of Chelsea and Inter Milan which cost Pep another 2 CL titles. The attack was all about Messi really so if he didn't score, or was crowded out...- Ritchie

Delighted for Iniesta he wasn't near his best for a while but really recovered his A game for the run-in this season and was a key part of the treble team. Still got good years in him.- Ritchie

Real's route to the final wasn't hard. Their usual easy group for Penaldo to stat pad. Schalke are an embarrassment and can never defend which is perfect for Penaldo. MSN would have tore them to shreds. Atletico not one of the stronger teams in the last 8 but the fact they can actually defend...
