    Yes the midfield was utterly useless last season creatively, but Denis and Gomes have to address this. If they can then Messi should be further forward.

    He's not hungry enough for goals. Plays too deep and always passes when he should shoot. Penaldo shoots whenever in sight of goal. Messi will lose next few Ballon D'ors to Penaldo unless he gets his hunger to score back.

    If we had Real's draw we'd have eased to the CL final and beat Atleti in a one off game. We also won the domestic double. Messi and MSN would have destroyed Wolfsburg and Man City.

    We need an offensive midfielder. Messi became our creative midfielder last season while playing in the front three. Our midfield was awful at protecting defence and at supplying the attack in big games. Our game basically became MSN and hope Pique and Masch save our ass at the back.

    The priority has been adding depth and getting some young blood in because of the dearth of talent at La Masia. We couldn't repeat last season where we only had 13 players Lucho would pick from in a 60 game season. We just need a quality 4th forward now.
