Gnabry is doing very well. Walcott should never take freekicks

I agree somewhat in those respects. His experience is something he definitely has over Koke. Passing range may be better, but his passing overall is way too slow and irregular in comparison to everyone else in the team which makes him stick out. He can sometimes break up attacks but he can't run...

Today's Atletico vs Malaga match held huge statement as to how Koke deserves to not only be in the WC squad, but could very well warrant a starting position as well. 6 tackles, 81 percent passing accuracy, 2 key passes, and a goal. He's incredibly versatile, incredibly mobile, has high energy...

    Atlético Madrid

Yeah they haven't played all that well in attack today. Then again, Malaga are playing a 5-4-1 and Willy has stopped a few sure goal chances. I think Barca have a definite edge against Atleti though, if Messi starts.

Malaga dive and foul so much. Disgusting play from them at times and the ref is enabling it.

    Atletico 1-0 Nice jinx

    Atlético Madrid

Very good for Neymar. As promising as Manquillo is, it'll be very tough to perform being thrown into the sharks in a game like this. Alderweireld won't be able to perform well out of position.

    Atlético Madrid

Juanfran booked, will miss the Barca game. They'll go with either Manquillo (better option) or move Alderweireld to RB (conservative option)

    Barca draws Man City

You can bet Messi/Neymar/Alexis will take full advantage of those errors or moments of complacency, just refer to Alexis's goal vs Madrid to show that even some space given can result in a goal.

    Barca draws Man City

That's why I'd suggest Cesc and Iniesta as midfield. They can't hold possession like Xavi can but hogging possession could be the very thing that weakens us defensively. I'd rather have Fabregas getting dispossessed a few times while we still have cover at the back than Xavi making us keep the...

    Barca draws Man City

If City sit deep vs Barca they aren't going to do well either. At least with a high line they would push Barca back and keep the pressure away from goal, if they were to sit deep and try to absorb attacks, Toure and Fernandinho would be the only chance of winning the ball back in defense and if...

    Atlético Madrid

Yeah there was a 10 minute period where Malaga were getting counters in but overall before that it was save after save from Willy. There was a lot of rough play from Malaga's midfielders and Felipe Luis is one of the worst headers of the ball I've ever seen.

Quite the improvement from those days

    Atlético Madrid

Caballero is the only one keeping Malaga in the game, only a matter of time before Atleti get the better of him. Also, Oliver owning it every time he's on the ball

    1 - Marc-Andre ter Ansplant

He's improved a lot in saving long range shots, but I generally agree with what you say. Courtois is great and can become among the best in the world, but I can guarantee that ter Stegen has at least the same and probably even more potential.

    Toni Kroos

Playing the Xavi role =/= mirroring Xavi in exact style. He controls the play in Bayern, who play a similar possession game to what Barca have played in years past (with the key difference of being more wing oriented than CF). In that midfield, he is the general of the passing play distributing...

    Toni Kroos

Playing more passes doesn't make you a better player. Xavi demands the ball a lot more than Kroos, therefore he's a "lot better at dictating games"? No, he just chooses to take on a more imposing role which is his personal style. I doubt there will be another player who asks for the ball as much...

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Oliver said last month that he hopes to retire at Atletico. He has done a lot to develop his work ethic and defensive output this season and it's very apparent. As he grows, he'll improve the physical side of his game and add an insane amount of creativity to Atleti's central midfield, taking on...

    Toni Kroos

Kroos has played the Xavi role at Bayern and added a youthful vibrancy to it. He dictates the play the way Xavi does, but also mixes it up with more variety in his passing, energetic movement, and defensive workrate. Xavi is still important, but he isn't notably "good" in a consistent manner...
