Ah right, I thought it wasn't your first language (thought you were Swiss) even though your English is excellent. Nice one on being multilingual/polyglot too.

Still remain sceptical with this lad. Especially if it was something as high as 80m as someone randomly said above.

    Jack Grealish

Some City fans have wanted him to play in midfield for a long time, but Pep has never really tried it. I am not convinced about him there. But surely worth giving it a chance.

    Jack Grealish

True, tons of talent. As I said above, though, he has to take some responsibility for his general underwhelming performances. Simply because he has been very unprofessional in his time at man City - out drinking often and so on.

Joao Pedro is really good. It could be another Jota situation though - signed from a lesser PL club, does well in spurts, but overall doesn't move the needle enough.

Aye mate, totally agree. Obviously you'd take him free or on a cheap, but for the money Liverpool want and the wages he might demand? No chance. Same goes for Rashford with Man United if they're holding out hope for a big fee from someone (not sure what his contract situation is).

The question that should be asked is... If Liverpool don't want Diaz, if he's surplus to requirements there, why should Barca want him? Barca are a bigger club and just as good a team, and they can do better than him for a backup LW imo. I'd prefer Lookman. But of course Barca have financial...

Yeah as I said, I agree.

No, it is phrased poorly, but I am sure it means 10 goals and 10 assists minimum both, in each of the last two seasons. So a guy who scored 30 goals but got 9 assists in one of those seasons, would not qualify.

    Florian Wirtz

Did he do it last season? I thought Fernandes might be one but I think he only has 8 goals or so this season in the league. He means 10 goals and 10 assists both, in both of the last two seasons. I think...

    Florian Wirtz

I think it's each season. Or maybe you mean nobody has been able to do it in both. Even still, 10 goals and 10 assists over 34/38 games doesn't seem a high standard given how stats have exploded and attackers are favoured in this era.

    Joan Laporta

I don't know who scouted them but they've bought guys like Kudus, Paqueta and going further back Bowen. Not him most likely but they've brought in some talented players.

I tend to agree with the idea he will be a success. I think he will do well. But it's still a risk as Don says.

    Liverpool

Are they really spending 150m euros on him? Fuck sake, he's got loads of potential but that much? For a club like Liverpool who spend big but don't tend to spend fortunes on one player? Plus who knows what his wages will be. You could get two really really good players for that money.

Also, just to play devil's advocate again seeing as you're mentioning what the Bayern suits are saying - the Germans said in 2011 that Gotze was one of the best talents they had ever had (Sammer amongst others said it). Look how that worked out. I think Wirtz will have a MUCH better career than...

    Florian Wirtz

I don't believe anyone is writing him off - everyone knows he's a big big talent and it's a big coup for Liverpool. It's just that diagrams, while helpful, are also misleading. Nobody thinks the guy isn't a potential world-class player if he isn't already. I expect him to do well at Liverpool...

    Trent Alexander-Arnold

Long passing of his is great from right-back in deep positions on both feet, where he can see the whole pitch, and the crossing, but short two touch pass and move in tight areas is a completely different skillset (so I very much disagree he's a better passer than midfielders, depends on the type...

    Trent Alexander-Arnold

What's worse - Trent's defending, Hojlund's hold up play, Onana's shot stopping, Mount and Lisandro Martinez's fitness, or Micky Quinn's pace?

Superb word. Will remember that. I hadn't even heard that word and unlike you English is my first language, lol.
