    Jordi Alba

He didn't seem as heated when committing his fouls as for example against Atletico so it wasn't a burst of anger type thing. Still a total lack of maturity and a bad performance.

    Gerard Piqué

I'm not singling Pique out since he did nothing worse than anyone else, but if we want to critique the performance by how "good" he did in those scenarios then it doesn't come out well. He was positioned well most of the game but getting caught out was discouraging even if it wasn't just him...

    Daniel Alves

What I don't get is how everyone bombards Montoya for being a shit player simply because of his final delivery. Alves's is worse and he picks the worst times to go at it himself with a wasted cross/shot rather than cutting it back or playing an easy pass.

    Gerard Piqué

In most scenarios, yes. However he did have 2 or 3 really bad moments like getting caught out for one of the goals and being outpaced on a counter with ease.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Cause his Santos side was playing the toughest, most professional football in the world right? Pele is a brainfarted egotist just milking his own padded accomplishments while he still can. Wouldn't even put him in my top 10 of all time tbh.

Man of the Match 13/14 edition

Tough to call with the game being so poor but: Messi Cesc Alexis

    Ibrahim Afellay

In a season where all our forwards are doing so well, it's a miracle that Afellay is actually getting played. Compare this to last season when Villa barely got any time at all till March despite all of our wingers being in dire shit form. I think he should've accepted the loan, if there's one...

    Rafinha Alcantara

I'm starting to see a little bit of Arda in him. Great skill, ice cold nerves, and a footballing intuition that allows him to constantly learn and improve. Even with all of that, he manages to add brilliant energy and workrate to his arsenal of abilities. He's gotten so much better since last...

    Confirmed Transfers

Diego to Atletico and Oliver to Villareal (loan) just confirmed.

    Cesc Fàbregas

Fabregas  Doesn't really matter since Cesc has just 1 less goal than Balo in official comps, probably has more if we take away penalties :pep:

    FC Barcelona B (Barça Atlètic)

Joan Roman loaned to Villareal, could this mean an early promotion for Munir?

    Rafinha Alcantara

And a brilliant assist vs Granada just now.... Tempted to recall him right now

    Oliver Torres

An odd thing to say... It takes a month to heal and there is an option to extend the loan to next season if they feel he's on a more accelerated path at Villareal than at Atletico... Again, where's the logic? A dislocated shoulder is when the humerus separates from the ball and socket joint...

    Oliver Torres

Apparently he's set to join Villareal on loan till the end of the season, would be a great way to gain experience.

    Atlético Madrid

Once again I'm not talking about a #10 role, just a player with those qualities. Turan is indeed a better player but he's more about tight dribbling and transitioning their play than playing throughballs or key passes. Koke does play those kinds of passes, but he's less of a dribbler and dynamic...

    Atlético Madrid

They don't play with an out and out #10 in the formation but it's been said that they need a player of that style/profile. Koke isn't a dribbler and Arda isn't a straight up playmaker, but Diego is both. Diego can play in the wide areas well anyway, maintaining his style of play. Koke is being...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Off topic: If you don't mind me asking, are you some type of trainer or medical professional? Your posts relating to injuries/fitness of the players often have a lot of knowledge and insight so I'm a bit curious :p

    Atlético Madrid

Wonderful signing when it's completed. Some have complained that they still needed creativity or a #10 type playmaker to push forward into the elite and Diego is exactly that. Atletico have some brilliant midfielders in Koke and Arda but this really solidifies their depth. IMO they only need...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Probably not, team training is really a meticulous type of match preparation. Players don't do strictly physical work with the entire team, usually in small groups or with trainers. Training is never that rigorous, fitness exercise is.

    5 - Carles Puyol

The question on everyone's mind is, does she have her father's ears? :pep:
