    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

He can't do that all the time though. An Ecuador/Real performance takes a lot out of him. Now he's in his 30s he should be able to slow down and be facilitated more by his team mates (which has won the last two ballon d'ors for Ronaldo) not have to win games on his own.

He should have sat it out anyway. Too much of his/our energy gets wasted on this competition leaving less in the tank for CL. As if he's got anything at all to work with with that team tonight anyway. A total waste of time.

Ronaldo in his 20s was genuinely a great player. The travesty is him winning 3 undeserved Ballon D'ors since and three CL's and the total fluke of a Euros when he's been nothing but a tap in merchant for an ultra-attacking team of world class players all playing for him.

    Andy Carroll

Bound to score the winner against us knowing our luck. Look at Torres last time. Need to avoid conceding corners like 2011 final.

    Cr150

If they both flop in CL and World Cup it'll open up to Neymar or someone else.

    Andy Carroll

They'll just send him on as a battering ram against us for set plays.

    Cr150

If Barca/Real both flop in CL then it hinges on the World Cup.

    Cr150

He needs to win CL or World Cup and Ronaldo to not win either. Portugal have a nice run to the quarters (they'll go through with Spain then last 16 against Russia's easy group) so it's set up for them. Just hope they run out of luck.

    11 - Ousmane Dembélé - V1

Which is why you need to avoid getting them in the first place, particularly hamstring injuries for sprinters. Michael Owen springs to mind. The biggest predictor of injuries is previous injuries. Sometimes injuries are just bad luck. These were both easily avoidable.

    11 - Ousmane Dembélé - V1

Great a speed merchant whose hamstrings are fucked. I said when he did it originally that's a bad injury. Stupid to put him on given the pitch and the conditions given he's still recovering.

He's just waiting for the CL. Then he'll be touted as the greatest ever again. His form is going to come back this season. Its also hos last chance to do something at a World Cup. It's a big year for him. Possibly his last chance to win that 6th Ballon d'or as he'll be 34 most of 2019.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Agree. His goal return is still good this season despite poor service and having to drop deep to create.

    André Gomes

Messi could play as the advanced midfielder in that case, or just switch with Coutinho through the game.

    Barca Transfers and Rumors

Busquets does his job. Iniesta is still quality but old now. Paulinho at least pops up with goals but doesn't really create. The likes of Gomes and Rakitic offer nothing.

    Mohamed Salah

What with? If we could get half that back for Suarez and flog the dross then maybe.
  16. R

    Mohamed Salah

He has missed a lot of chances for Liverpool though. His first few games he was missing sitters left and right. He's just exploded since.
  17. R

    Luis Suárez

It'd be the right time to sell him in the summer or maybe the year after as he'd command a big fee. He turns 32 next season and is going to be physically decline and already has in a way. What he still has is great finishing technieque WHEN his confidence up. His finishing is very up and down...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

I don't think he'll reach 500 over the duration of his contract (likely nearer 450 injuries permitting). He should be aiming for it though. If he's on about 380 by the end of this season then he'd need about 120 over three seasons which is around 40 a season. He needs better service and link...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

500 has to be the aim.

    Granit Xhaka

Wenger has become terrible at developing players in his old age. Unless they're getting the finished product like Ozil or Sanchez. Look at the regression of players like Bellerin. Chamberlain was going nowhere and now looks the business again under Klopp. He's certainly better than shite like...
