    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

At the moment, paying 50m for Laporte to come in during 14/15 is not an economical nor efficient use of 50m. The fact that the price tag isn't even there as a value but rather to discourage any transfers shows that it's too high. That's why a more spread out investment on two CB's (one young...

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

When did I say otherwise? It's the player that could very possibly decline and the price itself is daunting for any team to pay. Not to mention that it won't happen bc of Zubi's policy.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Ie shouldn't be who we rely on in the future. If he were to come up I think a RB conversion would give him a bigger chance than CB.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Laporte has said that he doesn't intend to move in the next few seasons. He'd be worth the investment long term but it's way too difficult to take him since the price is so high, Zubi put Athletic off limits, and he himself doesn't want to move. IMO someone like Doria holds the same potential...

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

The whole "sweeper+stopper" ideology only works if both CB's are capable of performing their duties in a disciplined manner. Pique often gets caught ball-watching or not even putting pressure on his markers. Luiz will run around doing whatever he feels like, the Alves of CB's basically. We...

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

So a guy who's a total undisciplined clown in defense, benched by Cahill and Terry, pretty much a Chelsea reject, is a good option to play in our high line alongside undisciplined Pique..... yayyyy

    Champions League 2013/2014

Tbf this was a time when even we beat Atletico 4-1 back in 12/13. They stepped it up vs big teams hugely since the CDR final and beyond. Mou shall suffer

    Xavi Hernández

Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but he actually indulged a journalists question about Valverde becoming Barca manager. “They play in this style, a manager who has a good attacking system. It’s not my place to talk about future events.” Still conservative enough not to say anything that could...

    La Liga 2013/2014

Villarreal, not really anyone else. Hope the Yellow Submarine can pull out a draw.

    Xavi Hernández

He criticized the fans today, but in a much more sober way than Alves. “The fans are very result driven. We lost the Copa del Rey and the Champions League and the fans began to doubt us. We continue to work knowing what the fans expect from us.” Can't say that he's wrong.

    Aymeric Laporte

Man you are so strung up, get a hobby or something  You act like I begged for us to spend 80 mil on Amorebieta to make him lead starter at Barcelona. This was a year ago, when our defense was more of a disaster than it is now, when we had no indication of ANY effort for a World Class...

    Aymeric Laporte

Mr. Word Twister returns. Tell me again how saying that getting a tall guy on a free transfer could give depth is worth noting? I didn't even care enough to pursue that suggestion, yet you figure that it's important enough to remember for well over a year now. Dat strain :xavi:

    La Liga 2013/2014

Playing at San Mames already spells out your defeat. Not to mention that our last tie vs you required a missed Susaeta penalty to even garner a point ;)

    Daniel Alves

Didn't do well defensively, was sloppy throughout, but he did end up being decisive so we have to conclude that this is a better game than what we've seen from him recently  That was a neat nutmeg (still pissed at Rico for letting that happen) and he didn't blast 87940384220 crosses around...

    Athletic Club

I got cocky when we took the lead  Sad to lose; great, great fight from the team. Shoutouts to Iraizoz, Laporte, and Aduriz (for the goal and orgasmic bicycle that never came to be :()

    Martin Montoya

It's not that Montoya is particularly on fire (did have a great game vs Granada), it's that he's far less detrimental than Alves right now.

    Coach after Martino

De Boer  He's still clearly a smart tactician but it's not so easy to be sure about him after a 5-1 loss in a cup final. Things aren't looking all that good for us right now, praying the Pep has some sort of row with the Bayern board.
