**EL CLASICO** Lliga | Round 17: Real Madrid - FC Barcelona 0-3

Huge problems are their attacking front, Ronaldo and Benzema. They need more attacking threat right now.

Held a party dubbed "CR7 gala", named after himself. Just how cringy can this guy get.

    Virgil van Dijk

Exactly. Klopp's defensive system itself is one major failure regardless of the players in it.

    Aleix Vidal

That still doesnt change the fact that Vidal was one of the worst on the pitch, besides Deulofeu, Pique and Rakitic.
  7. henias

    Aleix Vidal

Yes he did. Him and Rakitic were major problems defensively and it was why our right side were so exposed when they counter attacked. And of course our attack was poor with Deulofeu

    Aleix Vidal

He cost us the game at the Supercopa, poor positioning, poor defensive timing, going too much forward yet unable to put in effective crosses. Though he's no natural winger, he still a pretty decent wide option without Dembele but other than that, he should never be allowed anywhere near the...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

No one called it tactical walking though. It is simply conserving energy for burst of speed dribbling inside and outside of the defence, very different from Cristiano who is mainly a goal poacher, making runs to shake off defenders to score those tap ins or headers.

    Nelson Semedo

Well, Barcelona made only 11 tackles against Madrid, who is supposedly the strongest attacking team in La Liga.
  12. henias

    Nelson Semedo

Its tackles per game. Not more or less tackles. Theres a difference. Same can be said for Semedo since he played less in La Liga than Roberto but tats not how it works. Roberto has played 200+ minutes in the CL.

    Nelson Semedo

What? Goals conceded? Thats not what I meant. Roberto has made alot less tackles PER GAME than Semedo in the UCL and hasnt made a single aerial duel at all. I already agreed about the offensive part. Not to mention Semedo has played against more La Liga top teams and Roberto has played more...

    Nelson Semedo

Im saying Valverde has placed more importance on defence than other Barcelona. Of course, attacking is still their main style but most of their goals have came frm counter attacks, especially when they play a 442. What do u mean he doesnt have any defensive record? Roberto still didnt have the...

    Nelson Semedo

Valverde's Barca has been more defensive than attacking and depended more on counter attacks lately. I agree about defenders being good offensively, but Roberto has zero aerial threat which some big teams can exploit. You cant deny that Semedo still has a better physical presence and aerial...

    Sergi Roberto

Not many of them has tattoos lol. Only Messi, Suarez and Vidal are absolutely covered in black ink. Chinese dragon is the one looking like the real mafia boss.

    Nelson Semedo

Potroh is right. For some reason, people thought Roberto can be "developed" more defensively and somehow transform into one of the best RB of the world is ridiculous. He never has that height or defensive presence, even against Real Madrid, he was poor defensively. And he isnt fast or explosive...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

It is all about conserving and using his energy effectively and efficiently. If he were to ran 50% of the match, I can guarantee u he wouldnt have completed 6 dribbles. His energy would have been well depleted and he would struggle to accelerate past a player, which he is so good at.

    Nelson Semedo

Yeah I totally agree. Semedo can take advantage when teams are tired and burst forward with his pace. At the same time Roberto can take a breather and allow Semedo to do the running and cover him while he do his thing in the midfield.
