Dude i watch the matches with barca, many times addtitional times going back to key play and analyze sequences--good and bad--with focus on individual and collective contributions, and failures(or nearly failures). I look at the stats later (or in between viewings to maybe check my own bias)...

    Marco Verratti

Well we did go for Verratti, just zero cooperation from PSG. I would not put Pjanic or Thiago in this company. Let's see how they fare vs Atletico (I still think Koke is outstanding and better than half your list) and Liverpool (hard working midfield but nothing special).

    Luka Jović

Didn't strike me as static either. I actually thought the way he moved and balance a bit like Suarez. But i will say to me he didn't look any better than his strike partners of Rebic and Haller. That said he is 21 if the scouts think he has a good change to keep developing, a reasonable buy...

    10 - Lionel Messi - V6

Maybe someone could do the analyses but I suspect the last 4 years Modric, Kroos, Benzema & Ronaldo have not had the cumulative minutes of Messi, Suarez, Busi & Rakitic by say March 1st. Not really comparable in Germany with 34 league games plus Bayern is usually cruising without much pressure...

    Luis Suárez

Icardi has spectacularly low assists numbers. For example he has 26 over 18115 minutes. For reference Suarez has 100 in 28164 and Mbappe has 31 in 8013. I highly doubt Icardi is a Barca type #9 or that at 25 he would change his spots.

    Barca Transfers and Rumors

Nacho Monreal is out of contract this summer. I always like him better than Luis (not necc bc he is better--I think they are both solid all around players, i just think Luis can be dirtier--but I'd take him as a back up). He has been one of the better all around LBs in the EPL for years. He...

    10 - Lionel Messi - V6

Well put. I think Arthur before his injury was top 4 as well, maybe even so with that missed match. I think Vidal has also played too much for his age. Busi and Messi I am not as worried as the rest because they can play very well picking their spots and being efficient. We have to work in the...

    Sergio Agüero

Too bad he was never able to make it in the pacer and more physical EPL. Smallish or technical players from Spain never make that transition well.

    Aaron Ramsey

No Can was "meh" at Liverpool, they didn't sweat losing him at all and were much higher on guys coming in (Fabinho, Kieta).

    Aaron Ramsey

Juve and him just killed the free market. Nearly 400 mil euro a week, I assume pre-tax but that is still what 250K net in Italy? https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12961/11634727/arsenals-aaron-ramsey-joins-juventus-on-four-year-deal This for a brittle 28 year old who has his good days...

    Luis Suárez

Suarez has been top 3 in scoring charts in his league every year I can think of, including this year. Suarez on his day is still as good as any #9, problem is he needs rest and a manager that at the most will play him 1/x week. We should keep him unless he wants to leave and another club pays HUGE.

    Luka Jović

Well no I wouldn't want to touch Lewa. Suarez is still better than him right now (on most days). But I agree we cannot wait. To replace Suarez with the young/prime Suarez is 200+ million buy. If 50 million gets you a good enough player to be in the rotation at #9 right now, do it. If he grows...

    7 - Philippe Coutinho - V1

Um, how many major trophies do we have the last decade or even the last 5 years? I think the most in big boy football. I do miss Pep though, no-one since him has been close. Can't blame that on the current board.

    Arturo Vidal

Pep? Klopp? Jose (although he bends to far to his own ego)?

    Ivan Rakitić

I am not in favor of an extension unless it is important to moving him to another club with a good fee (>40mil) in return as part of that transaction. I do believe Barca needs to get younger and better movement in the midfield and ideally you just want Busquets or Rakitic on the pitch at the...

    Malcom

I like the idea, especially with no Alba. Give Messi some targets that use wide spaces.

That is impressive xxkonan and I sincerely mean that:)

    Ivan Rakitić

If you think he has been worse than Vidal lately I would quite disagree with that. Personally I think neither should have played more than a half sunday, subbing him earlier would have taken out the last quarter of the game problem. And he was great vs Sevilla in that decisive match, not good vs...

    Kevin-Prince Boateng

Did Morata want to come here and would he have accepted 1/4 starts? If it is yes and yes than that would have been much better.

    Arturo Vidal

Right, like the players owe media or the twituniverse anything, and a coach is going to attract a lot of great players by supporting the media and twituniverse instead of the players sweating and bleeding for the team. Weird world here.
