    14 - Javier Mascherano

Good game today. A lot was asked of him and he didn't disappoint at all.

    Samuel Umtiti

He's proven himself so indispensable that he's practically displaced Mascherano who is probably Lucho's favorite player. Regular starts and moved Masche out of his position for our makeshift backline. One of the best transfers we've made in a long time due to the low price and great intuition...

    Lucas Digne

Solid and consistent. No doubts about what he brings and what he'll be able to do. Fared better against Sterling than Alba did, though Alba didn't have much time.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v4

His finishing is ice cold. 3 goals from 4 shots (the other shot was blocked). Some really nice dribbles and a sexy meg (anyone have a clip of that?), though his passing was somewhat off. Only Messi could so casually sink the EPL's best team like this though. Take a bow.

    Denis Suarez

It's a lack of attention if you really thought he was that quiet today. Started like 3 quick sequences/counters and won the ball in advanced positions high up the pitch a few times as well. He was involved and stimulating a lot of quick attacking play around/in the box and moved the ball really...

    11 - Neymar Jr. - v4

Congratulations Nerman! Great achievement and he proved doubters wrong. All due credit to Arda's impressive rise in form, but there's only one guy who can solidify our front 3's status as a terrorizing force in football. I expect great things of Nerman this season and am excited to see him tear...

Spanish SuperCup 2nd leg: FC Barcelona - Sevilla 5-0 agg.

Pleasantly surprised with this lineup. I fully trust Digne and Denis already from what they've shown, Munir too is proving that he can handle a bigger role. Umtiti seems very confident and capable. Somewhat worried about Gomes and Vidal though. Gomes isn't known for having a high workrate, let...

    Claudio Bravo

I agree that Valdes is for sure not a goalkeeping legend in football as a sport. I do personally consider him a Barca legend but I think more in the same way that you guys do, that he was a part of the legend of "Golden Age Barca". Almost every true starter from the golden era can be considered...

    Sergi Roberto

From what we've seen of Roberto at RB, his deliveries seem pretty accurate and consistent. Much moreso than Alves in recent years. Alves' best attacking qualities were his linkup and his uncanny ability to always provide the perfect width on our flank. Alves was extremely crucial in stretching...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v4

He's not slower in any sort of way that matters. The issue is when he's trying to burst off from a fully stopped position which almost never works with any regularity for any footballer ever. If he's receiving the ball when our play is ridiculously slow and static, and then kind of loitering to...

    Arda Turan

Good assist but I don't think he can be a decisive factor for us. Our midfield was struggling to cope with Sevilla's pressure and Iniesta got injured? Denis came on and gave us creativity going forward. We were struggling to overload them in the final third and give space for Messi to operate...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v4

A lot of actions didn't come off for him today, though he did try. Sometimes a bit slow in his reflexes on the ball but even then he pulled out a great assist for Munir. Once things start really clicking with the team I'm sure we'll see more supernatural Messi.

    Sergi Roberto

I feel very secure with him on the right flank. Runs hard, reads the game so well defensively, and he's almost flawless going forward as a support player. Every tricky and tight situation thrown his way today he handled to perfection.

    Munir El Haddadi

Should be firmly above Arda in the pecking order for attacking subs. Great sub appearance and hope he continues this way. No need to make our squad even more crowded with another signing if Munir can deliver like this.
  18. DonAndres

    Lucas Digne

Very solid in defense and very calm. He has good attacking deliveries and combinations too. A player bigger than the role that he'll get once Alba returns. Hopefully Lucho recognizes his value and is open to the idea of him starting over Alba if he's performing better.

    Denis Suarez

Proving to be the 2nd most creative midfielder we have after Iniesta and is probably top 5 in terms of vision/creativity in our squad overall. So dynamic, great balance and dribbling into space, and his passing is great. I think he's the most influential sub we'll have this season. He can come...
