    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Didn't make sense to retire at 28 either but he did. He won't be retiring due to fatigue or old age. It'll be due to incompetence within the Argentine Football Federation. I hope he doesn't retire though---he still has a chance next summer.

    World Cup 2018

Why? If Iceland wins 1-0 and Argentina wins 2-0, they'll have the same number of points and goal difference. What's the next tie breaker after points---is it goals scored or goal difference? And after that, is it fair play (Argentina has more yellow cards)

    World Cup 2018

More sweeping generalization. How do you know this and how did you measure discipline? It's like saying Eastern Europeans (e.g. Croatians) are more prone to violence or less disciplined than other European countries. I'm sure I can find random instances to support this claim.

    World Cup 2018

Massive sweeping statement there about African teams. For a team that supposedly lacks discipline and tactics, they didn't have any problems dealing with the "tactical" and "disciplined" pure European team of Iceland. Lemme guess---they bribed them. After all, they're Africans.

Surprised these haven't been posted here yet.

Keylor Navas has won as many as Man United and more than Giggs, Scholes and Rooney---now that's hilarious!

Probably the best Messi interview I have ever seen. I have a feeling he will single-handedly drag Argentina far in the upcoming WC---I can just feel it in my gut

How can he win it when La Liga, the French league, and Serie A aren't over? Granted it's unlikely, but Ronaldo could play RM's last game and say score 10 goals. Is there a cut off gameweek for the award?

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Can Messi still win the golden shoe if he doesn't play anymore games? Salah, Kane and Lewandowski are out of contention now but can any of the remaining chasing pack, catch up to him? If not, he should not play anymore games---he should just focus on getting into beast mode for the World Cup.

Lliga | Round 35: FC Barcelona - Real Madrid 2-2

Is the starting line up out yet?

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

If Ronaldo has a great final with a couple of goals, the BD votes will be skewed in his favour. But since it's a World Cup year, Messi still has a chance, although I won't hold my breath looking at the current Argentina team.

    Champions League 2017/18

People are so quick to blame EV for our exit against Roma but look at how hard Milner, Henderson and Wijnaldum are playing in that midfield. Look at how hard Mane is running at Roma's defense. Our players did NONE of that against Roma. We looked like a basketball team against Roma----no...

    Champions League 2017/18

Real Madrid's defense will also suffer under the terrible trident (Mane, Firmino, Salah). It'll be a high scoring final, that's for sure.

    La Liga 2017/18

Scintillating game between RM and Athletic. Very impressed with Athletic's midfield and attack.

CL Quarter Finals: Roma - Barca (4-4 agg.)

I love this starting line up! Glad to have SR back in midfield. I hope he scores or assists today so that'll become more regular for him. I really really really really hope Suarez scores today. Zero goals in more than a year is atrocious!

You should probably delete this. It's a bit extreme and distasteful.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Messi and Ronaldo are always favourites for the BD, irrespective of what happens at the World cup. They've won it at the last two editions (2010 and 2014) without either of them winning the World Cup. Heck, in 2014, Ronaldo won it without even making it out of the group stages of the World Cup...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Real Madrid is still favourites to win the CL. If that happens, Messi will have to win the World Cup or else Ronaldo will in fact win the BD and probably Pichichi. Disgusting!

    11 - Ousmane Dembélé - V1

All the best kid, make us proud!

CL | 1/8 Finals: FC Barcelona - Chelsea 4-1 agg.

Again I really like Dembele and want him to succeed but he also misplaces a lot of passes and he is very easily dispossessed far too often. He also doesn't offer the defensive cover of Paulinho or Gomes (as terrible as those two are, at least they have that in their favour). I agree Dembele...
