    Thierry Henry

Yeah to be honest I didn't follow them before this season because going to games at Giants stadium was awful, Red Bull Arena is great though. Henry opened his scoring account tonight and almost scored another phenomenal chip shot. I told you guys there was nothing to cry about...

    Thierry Henry

Angel is still a good finisher, he can't take on defenders for shit but now that Henry is drawing all the marks he's scoring again.

    Thierry Henry

He scored in his first game against Tottenham, and like I said he has contributed with assists and pulling defenders with his pace (which he still has a good bit of...) The goals will come, he is struggling with fitness at the moment and jumping into a physical league while everyone else has...

    Thierry Henry

The other thing is, Henry just loves New York City so much that he will be happy even if he doesn't perform well :)

    Thierry Henry

Marquez will have a bigger impact in the end because the Red Bulls midfield had next to zero creativity before he showed up, but Henry can and has still beat MLS defenders. For the most part whenever Henry has turned and faced the defender he has beaten them, they are not used to players who...

    Thierry Henry

Jeez guys he's played a total of like 3 league games in a league that's been ongoing for months. He's had a few assists, is still not fully fit and is having trouble with a nagging muscle problem. He's missed a few sitters but its certainly no cause to tell him to hang up the boots... The...

    Jonathan Dos Santos

I'm not convinced, I don't think he played as well in the 4-2-3-1 compared to taking on the Xavi role in the 4-3-3. He doesn't seem to be a great tackler and he is forced to play too deep in this formation to accommodate his skills. Also, whats the deal with not having a first team number?

    14 - Javier Mascherano

Adriano will never start over Abidal, even if we are going full out attack. Abidal was actually quite good going forward last year, it was the biggest improvement in his game. I would also guess that Busquets will ALWAYS start over Masch.

    Rafael Márquez

Henry on the other hand should have had about 5 in the last 3 games and managed to miss everything.

    Rafael Márquez

Going to see Henry and Rafa united again on Saturday :D The coach has him paired up with another holding midfielder so he might be playing an even further advanced role for hte rest of the season.

    Yaya Toure

HoF don't we have a Busquets thread? And just for the record, NOBODY is being rational anymore in this argument, you're all just a bunch of bickering little kids at this point.

    Niko Kranjcar

The guy knows how to strike a ball thats for sure, I remember seeing him hit a volley last season and thinking that i hadn't seen one hit so well in a very long time.
  13. iced1776

    Rafael Márquez

He played 60 minutes total, it took him about 15 minutes to settle into the game which is completely understandable considering he's had less than a week of full training with the rest of the team. He made two really great no look through balls in the second half that has a lot of MLS fans...

    Sergio Busquets

Ugh, if anything we need another destroyer to compliment Sergi, JDS is even more offensive minded...
  15. iced1776

    Rafael Márquez

I'm getting some for next season as well, I can't believe how cheap they are! Probably lol, they are building a new training facility though.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Drenthe just did his best De Jong impression with a flying karate kick to one of the LA player's chest
  17. iced1776

    Sergio Busquets

To be honest the Sergi doubters are a growing minority now-a-days, even those upset by Yaya's departure are ready to admit that he's a quality player.
  18. iced1776

    Bojan Krkić

I'm not sure how you can say that when every time he receives the ball deep on the wing he looks ineffective, and every time he plays higher up along the back line he finds space to score... Do you think he benched Ibra because of his ability to beat defenders on the wing?
  19. iced1776

    Jonathan Dos Santos

It was, but I also think its what he was talking about. Its kind of silly to say that you don't need to be great at tackling to be a DM in a more attacking position. We need somebody who can clog the middle of the field and stop counter attacks or else we will constantly be caught defending...

    Bojan Krkić

Bojan is at his best when he can make diagonal runs behind the defense, so putting him in Henry's position is kind of a waste.
