    I know he played both but Alonso was LB in that game and the CB pairing was Eric and Pique. However, after the game, there were some who said Xavi should've played Alonso over Pique and had Alba/Balde at LB. Don't think Alonso would've been much of an improvement over Pique at CB.

    He brings more offensive contributions than Balde. Seems like Alba performs well only when he is benched and a fire is lit under his ass. Gets too casual about his play when he has no competition.

    Didn't start in this game, subbed off the last 2- maybe its a sign that Xavi is more open to transitioning away from him. He also would've noticed the fans' reaction to Busquets as well in this game.

    Very shaky. Its outrageous that people, with the benefit of hindsight, think Xavi should've played him at CB instead of Pique against Inter. Atleast one is a natural CB and not a LWB.

    Yeah, I think the one the Busquets has is his passing and he is quick in getting rid of the ball cleanly when he is being pressed. But otherwise, De Jong is a better choice. Doesn't drag down the team with lack of physicality.

    Yup. That was just inexcusable for him to be completely ball watching, and completely oblivious to Vini making that run. That mistake is compounded by the fact that Roberto is pretty slow. RB has been a big issue for 7+ years now with signings like Aleix Vidal, Semedo, and Dest not working out.
