    France plays dull football, but unlike England, i can see them knocking out anybody they meet. Solid defensive team, can do some damage on the counter, especially if Mbappe can play at a reasonable level in the knock-outs. France doesn't feel quite as planless as England, boring as they may be.

    No, Ramos and Pique were both excellent players. Its not just about the trophies, its the contribution to them, Ramos in particular has played a big role in many of the trophies for RM, you talk of him as if he was a passenger.

    It was between keeping Varane, a much younger player, or keeping Pepe, who was already pretty old back in 2017, so it was logical. In hindsight though, knowing now, how well he would age, wouldn't have minded seeing him at the club for several more seasons.
