Wow, you must have had a lot to cheer for these past 6 years or so ;)

    Thomas Müller

The thing is he didn't even mock Messi in that interview. He jokingly answered a question of a reporter in Bavarian. It wouldn't make sense for me to translate it verbatim, as you'd have to understand the subtle nuances and tone in that speech, as you have to in everyday speech. He basically...

    Thomas Müller

Good point. But you can't be on the other end of the spectrum either and try to be diplomatic all the time, because: 1. You're not going to succeed. 2. A lot of people will get frustrated with you for not speaking the truth. And to answer your other question: Müller doesn't even own a car...

    Thomas Müller

You guys are insane. I can understand rival fans hating Müller for some of his on field antics, but for celebrating, mistranslated quotes, or manipulated pictures? He's generally popular among Germans because he says what's on his mind, is intelligent and pretty funny. He's the polar opposite...

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Still your argument relies on too many unwarranted assumptions. Only looking at results is too narrow for an objective approach. There are so many factors involved in a game of football. Now I might be pedantic, but that's why it's a baseless claim to say that objectively speaking Team X is the...

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

I actually think the 4 teams in the semis are a perfect representation of the current 4 best clubs this season. Juve slightly behind the other three, but they might surprise people, who knows. It's too close to call right now between Barca, Bayern and Real. Also it can change so quickly. One...

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Yeah, that was exactly my point. That's why you can't say "objectively speaking". There are no objective criteria for such a statement. Now if you simply meant it as a figure of speech, as people frequently use "literally", then fair enough ;)

CL semis: Bayern - Barca 3-2 (3-5 agg.)

We kinda did that in our recent league match against Dortmund and it wasn't pretty. But that's mainly because of our injuries and the fact that Dortmund is toothless against teams that sit back. I don't think it's the right strategy against Barca.

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

You guys had won the CL with the same core of players in 09 and 11, while we came off second best to Inter in 2010 and bottled it two years later against one of the worst teams to have ever won the Champions League. Our last international title was in 2001 at that time.

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Bayern wants competition. The board credited Dortmund's resurgence for Bayern's success in 2013. If you're talking about Götze and Lewandowski. They would have left anyways. But instead they would have played in England or Spain. So i dont see how Bayern destroyed the competition in the league...

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

True, last year's defeat hurt in that nobody expected Real to trash us whereas in 2009 everyone had expected Barca to dominate us. However, the gulf in quality in 2009 was much bigger than last year with Real. Yes, Real was the much better team and destroyed us, but in 2009 we had no chance...

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Yeah, but you were running away with the league and still had Messi, making you favorites by default ;) (even if he was unfit). We were stigmatized for our awful 2nd place year the season before, being branded perennial bottlers.

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

I don't feel Barca have to revenge themselves for 2013. If anything Bayern revenged themselves for 2009. That 0-4 in Camp Nou was the most humiliating defeat I've had to endure as a Bayern fan. I'd call it quits ;). But that's the danger of revenge, I guess. It never stops. It's a vicious cycle...

CL semis: Bayern - Barca 3-2 (3-5 agg.)

Thiago scored in Porto. It's true, our away record in this year's knockout stage isn't great, but we scored 7 in Rome in the group stage, for example. And Rome had an amazing home record up to that point. But yeah, Camp Nou will be difficult.

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Barca are probably slight favorites but who cares. In 2013 they were also favorites even with their injury ridden squad.

CL semis: Bayern - Barca 3-2 (3-5 agg.)

Modric out is a huge blow. Even without Pogba they have a formidable midfield, pretty much on par with Real's. I don't think Real will create many chances. Counters won't work against Juve, as Juve will not play gung-ho football. Real's hope will be set pieces, but Juve knows how to defend in...

Will hopefully make the difference in this tie. Is in amazing form, considering he barely kicked a ball for a year.

CL semis: Bayern - Barca 3-2 (3-5 agg.)

It doesn't even matter who would make it in whose starting formation, even if you're wrong in the first place. If your logic applied, teams like Paris, City, or Chelsea would be perennial CL contenders, but they're not (only Chelsea every now and then). The true strength of teams like Bayern or...

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Fair enough. Actually I just wanted to address the common notion that having the home leg first is always a disadvantage. It can go both ways and depends on the specific characteristics of a team. In the end, none of this will matter if one team is clearly superior.
