    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

This. One aspect of Messi that is underrated. He is one of the toughest guys on this team.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

He is recovering and will be back. Otherwise, great performance from him as usual. He should have converted that chance though but it looks like the goalie narrowed down his options well.

    Alexis Sanchez

Same here. My biggest problem with Alexis has been diving. If he instead tries harder to stay on his feet, he is a far better player.

    Xavi Hernández

Irreplacable when not injured. He is releasing quicker now and starting to make those penetrating passes again. Very refreshing to see.

    Daniel Alves

Folks are quick to dismiss Alves when his performance drops.

    Alexis Sanchez

I'll have to agree to some extent. Most improved player this season so far. Looks like Tata just unleashed the talent in this guy. Neymar's inspiration may also be helping. Alexis should keep up the momentum and get better. He has all the requirements to be an excellent player.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

I think there is some level of exaggeration here. Messi does not run around like Pedro and Alexis, or hunts down the ball like Busquets and Masherano but I have never expected him to. If you are labelling him lazy, you have to look at things from another perspective. He is the one that ends...

    14 - Javier Mascherano

I also like the way he applies pressure before someone in his field of view gets a pass.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

We are indeed lucky to watch this guy in our life time. Watching Messi every weekend has made me a better player! Just love everything about his game, especially his runs. He is our deciding factor.

    Adriano Correia Claro

This. Looks like a better footballing understanding.

    Cesc Fàbregas

Glad to see my man here starting to assert some serious authority. I hope he remains consistent all season.

    1 - Victor Valdes

Great game from VV. I am out of date with what is going on but can someone please tell me what is going on with Valdes? Did he decide to stay?
  14. E

    Cesc Fàbregas

Probably but I am taking into consideration the circumstance. I do not recall reading a thread indicating Cesc wanting to leave. Also, does Thiago not make a lot more mistakes than Cesc?

    Alexis Sanchez

Those Germans build good stuff: machines and good athletes.

    Cesc Fàbregas

If Tito lets Thiago go, then Cesc should be groomed to replace Xavi. He will not be Xavi but he should be good enough if we enforce in other areas. So Cesc should sit down and have an honest and candid conversation with Tito.

    Thiago Translantara

Exactly. Besides you do not just look at pure numbers without taking into consideration context. The problem here is not cumulative play time but the consistency in achieving that sum. This is what a kid needs to build confidence and learn from mistakes. I cannot talk about management when...

    Jose Manuel Pinto

Agreed but Pinto does manage well enough in that department. That is one Valdes attribute that will be hard to replace.

    Jose Manuel Pinto

37 is still relatively playable for goal keeping. All you are required to do now and then is jump and dive. Edwin Van Der Sar did it till his 40's if memory serves.
