FC Barcelona: Win of the youth system

I wouldn't worry too much about any fifa bans.

    Serie A 2013/2014

That's true, I expect a very balanced league this year.

    Eric Abidal

I wish him the best of luck in France. I think he'll be a regular in Monaco, I don't see much competition for LB in their squad.

    Gerardo "Tata" Martino

OK, first of all, that remark about English football is a generalization that hasn't been based in reality since the early nineties. Second of all, long build-ups are great if your players can turn them into concrete chances, but you better have a plan B if they can't - like we didn't have a...

    Injuries and suspensions

I can't say that I care, but I think it's gonna be a few weeks at least.

    Alexis Sanchez

True, I guess, but that was more Pep's fault than Cesc's...which may have been your point anyway now that I've re-read your post :)

    Alexis Sanchez

Why do you say the Cesc money was wasted?

    Gerardo "Tata" Martino

Tata means daddy not only in Spanish but also in my language (Serbian/Croatian) which alone makes him sound respectful. I have no idea about his coaching skills tbh, except for what I've read around the internet since we announced him.

    New 2013-2014 kits

I haven't bought a shirt since we replaced Unicef with Qatar. If we had someone else, then sure, but to me Qatar (and its upcoming World Cup) represents the power of cold money in today's football. If they can have a World Cup in a football backwater like Qatar, then nothing makes sense anymore...

    Jonathan Dos Santos

Hey, remember when Dos Santos was supposed to be the next big thing? Seems decades ago, doesn't it?

What? I'm pretty sure he's alright by now ;)

    FC Barcelona Tactics

It's the substitute CBs I'm worried about, not the starters. We're shallow in the back, especially with a 3-man defense.

    Gerardo "Tata" Martino

I think a center back signing is still in the works, it may not be Thiago Silva but it will be someone good.

    Cesc Fàbregas

Fabregas is staying, I think that's pretty clear. We let Thiago go and now there's more room for Cesc, especially with Xavi slowly getting older. It would be silly to let Cesc go now.

    FC Barcelona Tactics

What Barcelona needs more than formation tweaking is some good cover in the CB positions.

    Serie A 2013/2014

Eh, Juve will probably win it but I kinda hope Milan will. If they get Honda (and it looks likely) they'll have a respectable midfield consisting of Poli, De Jong, Montolivo and the aforementioned Japanese gentleman. It was their midfield that failed last year.

Bladder wants winter WC for 2022

I'd say all of them are a better choice. They all have a football culture unlike Qatar. Also, all of them except Australia have already successfully hosted a World Cup.

    Alexis Sanchez

Back at Udinese he had a great partnership with Di Natale, and he played in the slow-paced Serie A, so that certainly contributed.

    Bundesliga 2013/2014

I don't think anyone doubts Barca *can* beat Bayern...but over two legs, in Champions League knockouts? I think they've got the upper hand, especially with Pep moving there, seeing how he knows the ins and outs of every Barca player excluding Neymar.
