    Positive Thinking Cules

I was watching a thing on VH1 Classic the other day about the making of The Doors album and thought Jim Morrison would make a great avatar. His outlook is probably too pessimistic for this thread though. The Smurfs are much more happy and optimistic. :D

    How many goals for Zlatan

I went with 21-25. I don't see Ibra as a goalscoring machine. I think his value will come from adding more creativity and making it easier for others to score goals. I actually look for Henry's totals to go up. :2145960713mundoemot

The power of positive thinking. I love it! :flagvl8:

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

I would as well. He's a more complete player. Ronaldo may be more flashy, but Messi is the real deal and works his butt off every minute of the game. He doesn't disappear in big games. He works hard on defense as well as offense. He has a better attitude. He's certainly not so full of himself...

Who 'll have a better season 2009/10?

I think the whole thing remains to be seen, but I picked Ibra, not out of loyalty to Barcelona, but rather because Eto'o won't have the sort of creative midfielders at Inter that he had creating chances for him at Barcelona. That could change, of course, if Inter uses their bankroll from this...

    Who are your football icons?

Boy, you've got that right. I should have listed him among mine, but I was thinking more of the old-timers. But Maldini was absolutely the epitome of what a professional should be in every way. :worthy:

    Ronaldinho

Yes, from watching him in the last two friendlies over here, it seems he's done especially well when they get him the ball near the box and he can make all those little flicks and passes to create opportunities. He'll never be the player he was in 2004 and 2005, but I think he can get back to...

    Ronaldinho

Great stuff R10! I watched Dinho play again tonight against Chelsea and he looked terrific again. He even had another great free kick that just nicked off the crossbar. :beer2:

Can I get by speaking English in Barcelona?

Sounds great. You should get along just fine then. Enjoy your trip! :flagvl8:

    Ronaldinho

I just can't see it happening myself. I think Barcelona has moved on and I think Ronnie has moved on. It seems to me that Milan is planning for him to be a big part of their squad over the next two or three years (they seem to be getting into a transition period and need him as an anchor). He...

    Ronaldinho

Well, certainly there's some truth in that. Had Ronnie worked harder on his fitness he may have been able to avoid some of the injuries that plagued him in his final season. But even those last two seasons he was a fantastic player. He had 23 goals and nine assists in the 2006-07 season and...

    Ronaldinho

I had to go back over the last several pages to see what you were talking about. It's odd that there has been such a debate. To me, it seems irrational that we would no longer appreciate one of our greatest players just because he has moved to another team. Logically, you would have to turn...

    14 - Javier Mascherano

    He's a helluva player though.

    Ronaldinho

Very cool that you're getting a chance to see Barca play Chivas. Enjoy! :beer2: Milan already played the Galaxy. They play Club America tonight in that World Football Classic thing.

Can I get by speaking English in Barcelona?

You might think about buying a pocket Spanish phrase book to take with you. There should be different sections about ordering meals, etc. And I'm sure you'd get brownie points for trying. :2145960713mundoemot

The Hand of Diego! :worthy: :beer2:

    Ronaldinho

As long as he doesn't do well enough for Milan to beat Barcelona in the Champions League, the sky's the limit for him as far as I'm concerned. :D

    9 - Samuel Eto'o

Eto'o, damn it. Sign a frickin' contract! :pep:

    Ronaldinho

I watched about the first 60 minutes of Milan's friendly with the L.A. Galaxy. Ronnie looked very, very good for the first time out. He made some brilliant passes and he really looked like he was having fun out there. I hope he has a great season for them and reminds everyone of how good he was...
