  1. gimmick

    14 - Javier Mascherano

And Toure is far better than both of them. What we have we should hold. Machete -
  2. gimmick

    14 - Javier Mascherano

Just watching the Liverpool Spurs game. Mascherano just throws himself into tackles with complete reckless abandon. Same as every other time then. He cannot time a challenge properly. If he came to La Liga he would be sent off every week or two. Please Pep, for the love of Christ, do not sign him.
  3. gimmick

    Jesús Navas

Navas was absolutely brilliant Wednesday night. I was somewhat afraid he would continue this for onto Saturday, but for once he had a quiet game. Outstanding player.
  4. gimmick

    5 - Carles Puyol

I do not think I have ever had so much faith than what I do now in Puyol. He is having such an incredible season. Everything about him seems alot more crisp - his tackling, his reading his heading. Great to see as for far too long we all had to listen that Puyol was not a great centre half and...
  5. gimmick

    Eric Abidal

Abidal is having agreat season. know he is one people love to hate, and I was no different up to about this time 12 months ago. But I feel his overall performances since approx xmas 2008 has been of the highest order. Long may it last.
  6. gimmick

    Filipe Luis

Which means his price will go up again. He really should have been bought in the last window.
  7. gimmick

    Bojan Krkić

What I felt also about this is that previously Bojan would have tried to recover and still go for glory and end up losing the ball.
  8. gimmick

    Bojan Krkić

Agreed, last night was probably the best performance turned in by Bojan yet. Sure, he did not make the scoresheet, but he showed a new, unselfish and calm side to his game which opreviously has been lacking. he showed composude and maturity last night. He has to start against Sevilla on Wednesday.
  9. gimmick

    Dmytro Chygrynskiy

Double edged sword that. Sure he may need match practise to adapt, but while he is adapting, all our title aspirations fly out the window. The thought of Higuain/Villa/Fabiano going at him fills me with dread.
  10. gimmick

    Maxwell

The forgotten man of this forum it seems. How are peoples opinions of Maxwell forming? Personally, I think he has been an unmitigated disaster for Barca. From the game Vs Gijon on the opening day, any time he has ggotten the ball, I have been worried. His defending is non existent, and gets...
  11. gimmick

    Dmytro Chygrynskiy

I really would have hated to see Chrgy last night up against Luis Fabiano and Kanoute. He is a complete disaster area, and is the first (hopefully only one of 2) black mark on Peps resume (the seond is Maxwell). He was beyond awful last night. Totally out of his depth. Benefit of the doubt has...
  12. gimmick

    Gabriel Milito

For a first game in almost 2 years, I thought gabi did very well last night. Once he gets a bit more practise under his belt, he will definitely be at least 1st reserve behind Pique & Puyol.
  13. gimmick

    Yaya Toure

And I am full sure he will start Vs Kiev, Inter and Real. Agents? Wankers.
  14. gimmick

    Yaya Toure

I really really hope this is all agent talk. I would hate to lose Yaya. He was immense in the closing stages of last season. He can only get better as well. I have been surprised by how little game time he has seen, but perhaps he is just being spared for the difficult few weeks ahead with some...
  15. gimmick

    Jesús Navas

All Sunday did was show that he does not go hiding in the big games. It has been obvious for some time the guy is a class act.
  16. gimmick

    Jesús Navas

Any team could. Class will always shine through. he would just have to be satisfied with being rotated at Barca, something he will unlikely have to encounter at Sevilla. For me, he is the best player outside the top 2, and I know I am not forgetting about Aguero, Villa or anyone else.
  17. gimmick

    State of La Liga

Their records in the last few years beg to differ. Drogba does not score nearly as many goals as Torres. In fact, I reckon Torres has scored almost as mnay goals in his 2+ seasons that what Drogbas has done in his 5+ seasons. EDIT: Drogba in 5 seasons, 100. Torres in 2 - 58
  18. gimmick

    Thierry Henry

Any of us would run alot. That does not mean he played well. He has been extremely poor so far this season. But as mentioned about, form is temporary..........
  19. gimmick

    Bojan Krkić

Hopefully he is back soon to put some pressure on the front three (and by front three I mean Henry). I have a bet with a buddy he will hit 20 or more this season. I have a good feeling about his season.....assuming he is fit again soon.
  20. gimmick

    Eric Abidal

I have to applaud Abidal for his start to the season. He is looking very solid defensively, which is foremost in my opinion. As mentioned on the game last night, perhaps he wishes to step up his game as he missed both Finals at the end of last season.
