    Sergio Agüero

Are you including Ronaldo and Messi as strikers?

    Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Yeah that's quite amazing when you think about it. Considering Ronaldo and RM's quality over these years, to have only won 1 league title is a terrible return and end result. Truly a testament to Barcelona (as well as Simeone and Atletico's revival).

    Memphis Depay

Not exactly a hard award to win? They've spent hundreds of millions in the last few seasons and nearly all of those transfers have been shit.

    Thiago Translantara

One aspect that I hate about the Thiago transfer, that people always seem to ignore is that his agent is Pep's brother... Thiago defenders always present it that Barcelona wanted to get rid of him, and he was going to Man Utd; only at this point did Pep decide to buy him because he was...

    Cesc Fàbregas

:worthy: Great post; sums up the situation perfectly. Signing Cesc was a horrible move by Pep and I'm so glad he's gone.

    Juan Bernat

From what I've seen of Pep's Bayern, Rafinha seems to play as well as Lahm and the same can be said about Alaba and Bernat. Tbh I have no idea what formation they settled on, but those two certainly weren't there as straight second choices.

    Memphis Depay

Liverpool in the past few seasons just epitomise buying shit English players for ridiculous sums, with Carroll the prime example! £20m for Depay is an excellent buy though. Pretty much a bargain in today's market...

    Jeremy Mathieu

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we actually start Adriano as CB? Makes me shudder to remember it, but I do think that's what happened? As Puyol and Mascherano were injured and Tito didn't trust Bartra (he only came on when Adriano himself was injured).

    Sergio Ramos

    Ugh, so cringeworthy.

    Memphis Depay

Yeah, that does seem strange. Admittedly I haven't seen enough of Depay to comment, but from what I've heard he would be an ideal Ribery replacement (who seems like he cannot be counted upon at all nowadays) and for €30m, that seems a very fair price in today's market.

    Marco Verratti

I think anyone with a brain can tell by what happened with Silva and Marquinhos, as well as the many comments on the matter from everyone involved, that there is no chance whatsoever that Verratti will be sold this summer. Those stories are just the usual media nonsense.

    Paul Pogba

Any known reason why this is? I would've thought that PSG were the ideal choice for him, being French and considering the huge salary they are offering (15m is, as you said, much more than he'd get anywhere else).

    Cesc Fàbregas

I don't know, you are basing this pretty much solely on their achievements in the PL this year, but look who they were up against... pretty much the only other contender from day one was an awful Man City. I mean, Arsenal are second for christ sake, and they finished second in their CL group...

    Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Huh, what difference does it make if I've seen it before? I never said anything along the lines of this being revolutionary news to me... Haven't been active on the forum for a while, that's all.

    Gareth Bale

Haha yeah, I'm sure it makes you feel a lot better knowing all €100m went to Tottenham

    Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Haha, this is really so bizarre. Don't even know what to say

    Gareth Bale

It's funny how in their first years, everyone was so keen to do comparisons between Bale and Neymar, particularly towards the end of the season when Neymar faded (along with the rest of the team) and Bale scored some crucial goals... but this year you barely hear anything comparing the two of...

    James Rodriguez

From what I've seen Cules have a bit of a tendency to disparage Rodriquez, and exaggerate Isco in return, as he is a "Barca fan" whereas the Colombian was fairly open in his preference for RM. Though I do have to say that from the matches that I've watched, James is easily the better player...

    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Regardless of the result, this is ideal for La Liga - our game over by the 30th minute and plenty of players rested, RM going into extra time with a severely depleted squad. Edit - Lol, not quite!

    Lliga: Barca - Valencia 2-0

Why are you all assuming Busquets is playing CM? Against Paris Busquets played his usual DM and Mascherano played CM...
