    Pedro Rodriguez

Pedro brings pace, work rate, enthusiasm, goal threat, movement and versatility. He is proven at the very highest level and in the most important games. He is loyal and quite happy to play wherever, whenever and is a perfect squad player who never makes a fuss when other players of a similar...

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Sanchez, Villa, + a few deadwood (Bojan, JDS etc) should raise around 40m. That would give us in the region of 80-90m to spend. That should get us CB, CF + 1 other (GK to understudy Valdes for year or another forward). My money would go on Cavani, Hummels and Stegen.

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

How much do you think then? Sanchez cost us 26m plus a possible 11m in bonuses two years ago. 24 years old and wanted by several Italian clubs, surely we can expect 20-25m for him? Pedro has got to be worth 15m, surely?

I don't see Handanovic worth 40 million Euros.

Seriously? You think that would be a good deal???

    Marc Bartra

Completely agree with Cooter. Bartra has been sat on the bench all season whilst Masch/Song/Adriano have all started ahead of him. He should have been given much more gametime against the lower La Liga teams which would have enabled him to learn and grow in confidence. Throwing him in at the...

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Martinez looks good, but surely we need experience at CB? Pique needs someone alongside him who can organise so I don't think spending big money on potential again is the answer. Silva looks the best bet, but would be silly money. As a cheap option, I think Mathieu has looked excellent at CB...

11/12 Lliga: Real Madrid - FC Barcelona 1-3

Really impressed with Pep, I thought he managed the game brilliantly. Great belief and determination shown by us after that early goal, led by an inspirational Puyol. I also liked the more direct approach in the final third as well, Alves in particular putting some great crosses in and we were...

    Ibrahim Afellay

He's coming on nicely and it was a great bit of business by us, for a change. I think he offers something a little different and if he is ever sold, the value will be considerable compared to what we paid. I predict a good season for him.

    Thiago Translantara

He is sometimes a little casual with his passing but has great range. I like that he's not afraid to shoot from distance and he has a real turn of pace for a CM.

2011 CL Final: FC Barcelona - Manchester United FC 3-1 - Champions!

Small details can decide such big competitions, it's diffiult to win many CL's. The best teams and managers are in there competing every year and 3 finals in 5 years speaks volumes for Fergie. Money can't buy a CL, just ask Chelsea, with or without Mourinho. When you talk about luck, Mourinho...

lmao, if people have a different opinion than you they have to support someone else?

    Sergio Busquets

I'm only there for 1 night before heading to Marrakesh to climb Jbel Toubkal. Masch is also a great DM too, I think.

    Sergio Busquets

I'll be in Casablanca in May :) Yes I know he wanted out, I was merely using him as a reference point for how I rate Busquets, that is very highly but not quite the best.

    Sergio Busquets

I like Busquets, he's not just a destroyer, he has more to his game and his ability to retain possession is underated. Yaya was the best DM in the world though, for my money.

El Clasico 10/11: FC Barcelona - Real Madrid 5-0 Manita!

Wow, one of the greatest football performances you're ever likely to see and this thread has descended into petty squabbles about minor incidents. Inter earned their win last year and it was cheap of us to turn on the sprinklers, end of. Doesn't matter what anyone else did ever, that's no excuse...

El Clasico 10/11: FC Barcelona - Real Madrid 5-0 Manita!

Messi did go down to easily, as did Puyol when Ramos pushed him tbh. But if Pep had pushed CR9 like he pushed Pep, CR9 would have done three tripple somersaults and a backflip whilst holding his face, so that really is the pot calling the kettle black.
