Messi was working hard in his style vs Liverpool. It just wasn't the style needed. When Coutinho and Suarez are not making frequent runs Messi a) failed to make frequent runs himself off the ball behind the defense and b) failed to tell Suarez and Coutinho to do their job more frequently -

I would organise cheering everytime a Barcelona player makes a run behind the defense, then Boos everytime a through ball is not sent. Boos when a player receives a ball standing still and cheers when the ball is passed to Malcom or Alena.- ManusXavi

Too many people looking at the scoreboard. Defensively we were not that bad. Liverpool had 13 shots (3 blocked, 7 on target). Busquets has never had much more pace than this. If our Dembele and Malcom were flying down the wings scoring goals with Messi then then Busquets wouldn't be an issue. Our midfielders need forwards that make runs, not some silly slow build up play- ManusXavi
