    Real Madrid (old thread)

What real Madrid need is not a band-aid fix. Real Madrid need to restructure the club from its very foundations. The reason why real madrid has gone through over 10 coaches in the last 6 years is due to a football identity crisis, a lack of style. Said style needs to be inculcated to all...

Should Real Madrid dismiss Pellegrini ?

I've already given my reasons in the RM thread: He should be sacked soon because Madrid still have options in both major trophies. Sacking him now would give time for the new manager to re-shape the squad before the CL knockout stage.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

As much sense as it makes to sack him now, its not going to happen. November is a decisive month for Real's liga aspirations: Getafe @ home, Atletico @ V.C. and Barcelona @ N.C Florentino is not going to make such a drastic change and risk widening the gap between barca and madrid. Drastic...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

If real madrid are planning to sack Pelegrini, now's the time. Real have open chances in la liga and champions league and enough time to re-shape the squad before CL knockout stage. Delaying the (almost) inevitable can cost Madrid another trophy-less season, with all the monetary consequenses it...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Marca's already asking for Pelegrini's head. Their front page reads (in very big letters i might add) "Vete ya [Just go]" they're also saying Valdano will take over. Manu will probably be sacked if Real slips again in the next 4 games (Getafe, Atletico, Milan, Alcorcon)

    Real Madrid (old thread)

According to the UEFA, for a player to be considered HOMEGROWN, they must play for inferior divisions for over two years BEFORE turning 17.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I posted this in another thread, might as well paste it here Also: Negredo is not from the cantera, nor is Mata. They Signed for castilla when they were 16-17 and only played there 1 year. Its a similar case to Raul, who's not considered a real madrid canterano either.

    Champions league Group C(R Madrid-Milan-L'OM-Zurich )

CR9 was MotM, and was a nightmare for the Zurich deffence. But both his goals are more the keeper's fault than CR9 skill. The final score is a bit of a lie too. Sure real deserved the win, but not 2-5. Zurich had a decent enough game and, with a decent keeper, they could've scratched a point.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic or David Villa?

Villa. Cheaper, adapted to spain AND used to Xavi+iniesta.

Hunterlaar has officially signed for Stutgart. Best Madrid news this summer. Always liked Hunt, would love to see him again in spain, playing for us :)

    Maxwell

Im not sure starting 19/25 games is a "bench warmer" to be honest. He's quite a bargain, exactly what we should've payed for a BACKUP leftback. I heard Maxwell's transfer is a way to unblock Ibraimovic (same agent).

Should Barca pay 50 milion for Villa?

As much as i like villa, i think 42 + loans is more than enough.

    Karim Benzema

Benzeman is the next overpriced lyon player. He's done NOTHING to merit the price tag being thrown around and i, for one, hope we don't make a move on him.

    David Silva

We can't rely on a 32 year old. Henry's on great form, no doubt, but next year he should be an excellent sub, an alternative, not the guaranteed starter he is this year. We need to build on what we have, not wait till what we have fails to try to fix it. Ribery or Van persie for the left.

    Franck Ribéry

We can't expect every attacking player that comes from La Masia to be another messi. We cules, myself included, are spoiled and expect every la masia player to be exellent. Im not saying Gai is not good enough, im saying we can't take him from our youth team and make him the only alternative...

    Franck Ribéry

I still prefer Van Persie for the left, but I'd rather we sign ribery than silva. I've been saying for ages: Silva is a near-carbon copy of iniesta. He's a great player, don't get me wrong, but we shouldn't spend that amount of money for a player who's going to bring nothing new to the table...

    Martin Caceres

Exactly how i feel. Its already bad enough we have to celebrate a single decent game by our 17 million signing, lets not even talk about how little he'll play next year with milito comming back and henrique joining the team. Give him a shot at LB, cause right now, as a CB he IS a disaster...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I've been saying madrid need kaka more than they need Cr7 for a while. Kaka as a playmaker would at least make real madrid play possesion football instead of the ugly counter-attack style they currently play. CR7 would not be half as good in spain and, imo, his attitude would hurt madrid in the...

    Luis Figo

Lets use player X to explain. Lets assume sevilla's player X has a release clause of 10 million euros. Real madrid is looking to pay said clause. Case A: Real madrid pays 10 million euros to sevilla, sevilla declares it a player transfer, in which case real madrid gets the player for 10 million...

    Luis Figo

yes there was. We declared figo a transfer, not an acquisition. Gaspart AGREED on the sale. The only thing he had to do if he wanted to keep Figo was refuse the transfer and force Florentino to pay the taxes attached to a player ACQUISITION (about 40%).
