If he keeps his scoring/assisting record AND improves overall in all other aspects (defending, pressing, synching with others in attack), then obviously 30m is a no brainer Currently he gets 14m gross. Good point. If he does well overall, it will be stupid to not trigger such a low buy option clause. A clever idea will be to have a fixed base salary, and incentives and performance-related clauses that increase his salary (kind of like LAmine's new contract).
