    Joan Laporta

Yeah, cause he didn't know that the CVC deal would come in, and he didn't have access to the actual financial reports that he later got through the audit. He didn't know just how difficult it would be to re-sign Messi. It was a combination of obstacles that came up over the summer, led by Tebas...

    Joan Laporta

That's such a shallow, stupid way of looking at this though. ''He lost Messi so he's bad''. That's literally the stupidity of people that Bartomeu was counting on, and why he so desperately kept him at the club so he wouldn't lose him and the blame would go on the next president. Don't let his...

Yeah see I'd rather keep him if that's the case.

    Emerson

I may be wrong idk, but I've seen it written here and in other places before that us re-signing him for such a low fee from Betis had a clause that they get a large percentage of his future sales.

Doesn't Betis get 50% of the transfer fee if we sell him? If the fee is 30 million, we'd only get 15. I don't think that's worth it tbh.

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

The quality of Ligue 1 really seems horrid tbh. The Reims defenders were literally kicking at Messi's legs at the end there, ridiculous.

Exactly why I don't rate him. Overrated af

I guess we'll see. But I think Ole will most certainly finish behind City, Chelsea, Liverpool and possibly even Tottenham. And in the CL I honestly see them struggling in their group and if they face a bigger team they won't have a chance. Don't rate them at all, 0 tactical gameplan.

I know Juve started the season horribly, but Ole has been at United for 3 years and they have not improved as a team whatsoever.

    Cr150

Sure, but Juventus has a way better manager. Sure, they're shit atm but Allegri will probably make them click. Ole has had what, 3 years already? And United still look like they have absolutely no gameplan and purely get results through lucky moments or individual brilliance.

I honestly disagree. United with Ole look like 11 headless chickens running around aimlessly.

La Liga | Round 3: FC Barcelona - Getafe 2-1

I thought he did okay. Pretty solid defensively, made some good tackles but also a few very strange unprovoked passing errors.

At least Gavi and Nico both looked really bright in the last minutes when they came on.

    Premier League 2021/2022

Yeah I know, that's why I mentioned he wasn't close to Xavi, who was a much more complete midfielder. But I always thought their ''main role'' was kind of similar.

    Premier League 2021/2022

Surely he was? What else would he be? He's not a ball-winning or a box-to-box midfielder either. He's a deep-lying playmaker imo, one that doesn't necessarily rack up assists but builds the play from the back and transitions defense to attack. Kind of like Xavi, not quite on his level though...

    Premier League 2021/2022

I am still perplexed at Thiago's sharp decline since going to Liverpool. At Bayern he looked like one of the best creative midfielders in the world, and in Liverpool he immediately became underwhelming and hasn't done anything impressive since. Really sad to see.
