    Fans follow teams who get relegated from the fourth level, teams who go bust etc. I think United fans can survive with not finishing in the top half of the Premier League. I get that you mean different expectations etc, but United fans need to have some sense of perspective.

    Maldini maybe. Got in the Milan first team at 16 in 1984. Still, we won't have watched him week in week out back then so we can't know how good he was at that age. He was likely class though. And if Cubarsi can have 80 percent of Maldini's career and reputation Barca will be smiling.
