    Liverpool

Good discussion, both making nice points.

    Zinedine Zidane

Gave you a like because while I agree with some stuff and disagree with others, it's an intelligent and well-though out opinion. Bold is true, or Stojkovic, Hagi, Stoitchkov even. Plus if these guys were from big countries they wouldn't have had to 'adapt' by moving to big leagues. I always...

    Zinedine Zidane

Normally I agree with most of you guys on everything, but I watched peak Zidane and he was sensational. I do believe he is one of the greatest players ever/ It could be nostalgia goggles as I watched with awe the night in summer 1998 as an impressionable just turned 16-year-old, as he scored two...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Hhaahaha yeah mate. I easily weigh more than that and I am SIGNIFICANTLY shorter than you. Though I am a mix of fat, stocky and wide frame.

    Liverpool

It's a big change. Their players used to hardly go abroad at the height of the PL boom in the 90s and 2000s. It does them good to experience other cultures and football. Makes it less homogeneous.

Dier's a defender now isn't he. Has he played in defensive midfield for Bayern? I know he played there when younger but figured he was a full-time centre-half now. Though maybe you're just doing what you can to fit players in, hypothetically. Because you have Kyle LB too.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Thanks. But yeah Lewy is fairly fast in his prime and can gallop. Maybe it's because he has long strides he can run further.
  8. Maradona37

    Atlético Madrid

Yeah I still think he's good but he is overly emotional and can let himself down (I know that is highly ironic coming from me), as Tempt and jaype say.

    Luke Shaw

Almost 10 year bump. He's not a bad player at all, he's decent, not world-class or anything but good option for a top four standard club I'd say. However, what is with his fitness? Is it really him being fat? Or is it that leg break? He misses more than half of every season with injury, and...

    Atlético Madrid

He's too good for Spurs. And he's mental enough to fit right in at Atleti.

    Liverpool

Real Madrid and Barcelona simply have a pull and attraction that no other club has, especially the former.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

I agree but acceleration is really more important than top speed in football - likes of Messi, Maradona, Neymar have that. They are almost faster with the ball than without and can really change gears fast.

    Neymar

That's true mate, good point. You are right.
  14. Maradona37

    Real Madrid

Porn makes you cum. Real Madrid don't. But both are full of tits and cunts. Good post otherwise.

    Désiré Doué

I actually like what you have to say, your posts are interesting and you put effort into them even if I sometimes disagree. But I have one question - why is every football post tinged with criticism about Barca?

    Ligue 1

Obviously a lot of people don't know their players, but sides like Marseille, Monaco, Lille, Lyon, Rennes, Brest always seemed like solid, respectable teams. I think people just believe they're rubbish because they see Ligue 1 as a 'tinpot' league as you put it, and because of PSG's financial...

    Kylian Muppet

Mbappe is no slouch technically but R9 was GOAT level in dribbling, underrated in passing, and a better finisher than Mbappe (all my opinion but I think would be a general consensus too). It's no shame to not be on R9's level. Maybe I missed something but I didn't see anyone comparing him to R9...

    10 - Lamine Yamal

Nah he's an older guy at palace now. The new kid is Nwaneri, I think is how you spell it.

    Jude Bellingham

Seen this on my travels on the forum. I do appreciate other types of players. And I haven't claimed to 'know more about the sport than everybody else'. That would be deluded. Being confident in my ability to articulate a cogent argument, and feeling I understand the game and how it works to a...
