Do you agree with the concept of a European Super League?

who said anything about getting rid of them? just divide the leagues in categories and have promotion/relegation. another thing to take into consideration would be the fact that some countries really can't 'sustain' football clubs at the very top. either for economic reasons(most of eastern...

Do you agree with the concept of a European Super League?

exactly. big changes should have happened years ago. and i'm sure they will agree to something as everybody wants to earn money.

Do you agree with the concept of a European Super League?

mate, the problem is that ferencvaros or slavia praga get a chance in 10 years to play in the CL. it really is only an opportunity for them to grab some prize/tv money and maybe sell a player or two, that's it. those clubs do not compete in any way for the CL and hardly any of them reach the KO...

Do you agree with the concept of a European Super League?

of course it doesn't happen that often. and even if it does, it don't mean a thing in the grand scheme. the favorites get out of the groups and we are watching the same clubs fight for the trophy. "anomalies" like porto, monaco or dortmund reaching a final are too few. but yeah, let's...

    European Super League

The last time a football team from outside of that 'Big 12' won (the Champions League) was Porto in 2003/2004, or going back further, Borussia Dortmund in 1996 or Ajax in 1994 at least now we'll see arsenal and tottenham getting smashed every week.

    European Super League

most likely it is the 30-34 people that are unhappy in the 18-34 category. let's face it, future is all about what young people want. and the clubs know this. surprised rakuten isn't involved. or maybe they support us in all this as streaming football on-demand will be all the rage in the future.

    European Super League

historically speaking, marseille is bigger than both arsenal and tottenham. they also have a great stadium and fanatic fanbase. pump them full of cash and they would murder the likes of arsenal/tottenham.

    European Super League

what do those countries have to do with an elite club competition? how many times did a bulgarian, slovenian or romanian club reach the CL groups in the past 10 years? EL is their bread and butter anyway.

    European Super League

unfortunately we are past that, like 30 years ago. with all the money involved in football today, it is impossible to cap the salaries at 5-10M a year.

    European Super League

it's 2021 mate. how much would cruijff have cost us in today's market? 200-300 mil? there are ways to get around that. like sponsorship deals or exchanging players to balance the books at a certain point in time. or getting neymar and mbappe in the same window by agreeing to a loan with...

    European Super League

why not? the rich always had it their way - look at FFP. they could implement a promotion/relegation system from the lower leagues that will be in place, EL or EL Conference. there will be money like never before, for everyone. porto and benfica should be in the super league.

    European Super League

they'll agree to something in the end. everyone wants to make money. uefa/fifa wouldn't give a shit if midtjylland, heart of midlothian and groningen wanted their separate league. i've said it many times in here - the current CL format is boring and favors the big clubs anyway. so i'm waiting...
