Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

Probably best option as Neymar is the weak link when all three play and Mbappe already seems to be on same wavelength as Messi. But still, Poch is and always will be a bum. And their midfield is good only at running. Technically they are way off.

Ronaldo moves more as he doesn't do shit otherwise. He's no playmaker. So he doesn't press. And now CF can get away with it. So it's not all players pressing? Good luck benching Ronaldo.

Not 'people'. Haters. City dominated both games. This time they've won. Messi hardly seen the ball, in both games.

That's why he wanted Ronaldo? He doesn't press for shit at United.

Barca had Rakitic, Iniesta and Busquets. As much as MSN was the best ever, that midfield was world class and even had legendary players in there. Not to mention Barca were a team drilled to keep possession and not lose it easily. Even though they were a level below from 2011 on midfield.

City forwards are more like midfielders. That's why they lack in the finishing department. But that's a given as Pep knows what he's doing. A well oiled machine, with players fit for purpose. PSG is galactico in attack and GK. Midfield is EL level and defense has some promising fullbacks and a...

Birdy, I've sincerely tried to ignore you. But you're asking for it. Go wank yourself over some excel spreadsheet. You were proven wrong time and again on here.

I'm talking about progressive passes. Not between them when deep. By that logic the defenders are better.

No excuse here. Messi presses the least. It is known since time immemorial.

That's why they were losing possession instantly when on the ball? Because their forwards weren't pressing?

Going by JamDavs logic Pep didn't want him either. As he's not pressing at all for United. Maybe he really didn't want him.

They did press and helped defensively. But they got dominated in midfield up to the point they couldn't keep hold of the ball for like 20 straight minutes. They got a bit lucky with their CL runs in the past seasons. All three midfielders are EL level to decent CL level, not elite.

Clear as day my ass. That would mean they act like midfielders also and run box to box. Do you want them to get in defense and start the play from Navas in score? Can't be better when midfield is EL level, with players from EL teams

First they have to find a way to get the ball to that front three. Again teams like City

That front 3 is their only chance. OK, maybe GK also.

The execution wasn't clean, that was clear. Don't think he could have hit it cleaner than that. Considering what he wanted to do

My impression is he wanted to hit with the interior/sole of his boot so that the ball goes around Marquinos

Only world class midfielder they have. Those starting today are more EL level than CL

Nice cheeky finish from Jesus. Finally City in command, as they should.
