    Since when has a good consistent midfield had one of the midfielders playing for only 60 minutes per week??? This would make our team disjointed and confused.. The midfielder coming on for the last 30 minutes would be lacking in confidence etc.. it's a poor suggestion really.

    I get where NotInHere is coming from through.. With a 10 men Villarreal from the 65th minute we could have seen Messi net a couple of easy goals instead of staying so deep. Stat padding wins you Balon Dors at the end of the day unfortunately.. But yeah good game otherwise.

    Where is the attacking midfielder in that midfield? All of those have been playing fairly deep Xavi and Busi especially.. Rakitic is box to box but we haven't really seen him as a CAM yet so i'm not sure why you think that midfield is the "best midfield".

    IMO Rakitic brings more to the team than Xavi. Xavi brings more possession but that sometimes does us more harm than good.

    BBZ8800 is right. I'd worry more about us not scoring than letting goals in.. We've always conceded.. But we've always out scored opponents. Us not being able to score is more of a problem than letting in one goal.

    Agree with this completely. Yaya will possibly only cause us problems when City are attacking or have a free kick etc. Defending were likely to have more space with him on the pitch.
