    Premier League 2022/2023

Busquets biggest strengths in his prime was ability to suck pressure, and being at the right place at the right time. The later he used to prevent counter attacks before it even happens while the former made us the best team on the ball. Currently he is a liability against pressing from top...

    Frenkie de Jong

I do wonder if Frenkie really wants to join Ten Hag? Everyone assumes that since he was his previous coach during his rise, that means Frenkie should love to play for him. But it doesn't work that way, and maybe there are aspects that makes De Jong not like the guy.

    Memphis Depay

We paid 20M in addition to Abel Ruiz, for someone who was 20 years old highly rated winger. Abel would have gone for free otherwise. Depay is an attacker who failed to impress in 2 big clubs at the age of 28. No big club but Barca was after him when he was free agent. Why people think it got...

He couldn't land Lyon that sum. People really overrating his value atm

    Neymar Jr.

Juve reached CL final using it many times in 2017 iirc.

    Neymar Jr.

Didn't Tuchel win CL with it?

tbf this is the same salary cap rules across European football. I think major issue is that it really incentives "working around it" by changing valyes. Arthur-Pjanic are major examples, each club inflated values and everything is good on short term. Heck, ironically both Barca and Juve can...

    Trent Alexander-Arnold

Managers cannot win without elite players. Especially when other teams are hiring top managers at same time.

I think it is because of salary cap. You can't just make an American version of salary cap in football and include only salaries. So depreciation included makes sense.

    Trent Alexander-Arnold

Well, the man who was behind those recruitment is gone. Let's see if his successor is as good.

We already paid 100M to Golden Sachs according to Laporta

    Yusuf Demir

We didn't, it was known Barca B was a loophole to register young players easily without Liga permission. Once we were able to register him with 1st team we registered him where he belongs from the agreement with both the player, and Rapid.

    Yusuf Demir

So basically, even MLS clubs weren't really that willing to get him

    Alex Collado

Apparently asked to leave and club accepted his wish as Xavi can't see him getting minutes. Was a waste of everyone's time to bring him back tbh, should have been sold in June. Good luck to him

    Frenkie de Jong

We don't have one though, and this is a bit wishful thinking tbh. We didn't produce a single good DM since Busquets popped up in 2008, that is 14 years. Heck, most midfielders we produced since him didn't really prove themselves against test of time. Jury still on Nico and Gavi. My hopes isn't...

Tebas is a populist who is talking like a socialist activist. Easy to gain power over the "rich" club candidates

Because usually player amortization is counted.

    Gerard Piqué

Next summer Griezmann will be officially sold (finally) and good chance players like Dest, Ferran, Nico & Balde follow him. With Busquets gone, and hopefully Pique retired we should have the ability to have good transfer market and complete rebuilding

    Frenkie de Jong

That will be bad outcome for us. Neves is probably the best option we are following for DM position.

    Marc Cucurella

He played 10 games as LCB and from what I hear he was hood there. That is a great development from a player like him tbh
