    Real Madrid (old thread)

I'm sure the likes of Sporting Gijón, Sunderland, Chievo and Sparta Rotterdam are falling over themselves to buy him but I don't believe anything your club says.

So the club announced that they'd received loads of offers for him? Come on Beast, you must know that's the oldest trick in the book for trying to offload a player when you haven't received any offers whatsoever.

What does the future hold for my favourite madridista, Royston acciDrenthe?

    Who should take free kicks?

    Anybody who isn't Dani Alves.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

We don't get involved with bidding wars, if a player can't be convinced to put us ahead of any other team (like Ronaldinho before he came to us) then we will stick to our guns and accept being outbid.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

Actually lots of people from Albacete are very pale, they have really cold winters there.

    Kaká

I believe he's inferior to Xavi and Iniesta.
  8. Cule Angles

    Kaká

I'm not too bothered, he's a decent player but if he was any nationality other than Brazillian he wouldn't have the reputation he has. Xavi and Iniesta are far better players, Kaka is just an inferior footballer with better marketability.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Well that front page is either an early or late edition because in the newspaper shops here in Alicante province Marca is carrying a picture of Kaka on its front page and not the Villa story.

    Xavi Hernández

Add the Euro 2008 trophy to that photo too! A great career which will probably get better and better.

Negredo for 5m is a bargain, even if he is your own youth product. Huntelaar? I think he has a bright future and getting rid after very limited opportunities in a poor madrid team is a decision that may come back to haunt you.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Come on BlueDuck, you've got to realise that your new owners are making you a bit of a joke with attempts to get players like Kaka', Villa, John Terry et al. Any player worthy of holding down a place in the starting XI of a club in the CL won't be interested in you and if he is it's because he...

    Shirt Sponsorship

We never abandoned them, because we were never with them in a joint agreement, unlike United et al who left the football league and smaller teams in a shower of shite when they ended even distribution of gate receipts and then broke away to form the PL.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Because Kaka' doesn't want to waste his career at a non-entity like Man City? If a player doesn't want to go somewhere it doesn't matter what a club offers.

    Barca's Goal of the season?

Iniesta's goal was the moment of the season, but it wasn't the best goal the team scored so I can't vote for it.

    Barca's Goal of the season?

Thierry Henry's goal against Atletico at Camp Nou when he hit the half volley from the edge of the box after a great team move.

    End of Premiership dominance?

It's a different kind of buying though isn't it? Clubs like Chelski and Madrid rely on outside investment and creative economics to fund their spending sprees whilst ourselves, Liverpool and United et al. spend more within our means. There's nothing wrong with spending big if you can afford it...

    End of Premiership dominance?

I disagree, I think within two years madrid will be a force in Europe once again and the list of potential winners will be; Barça, madrid, Inter, Juve, Man Utd, Chelski, Liverpool. Plus there's always the chance of a surprise package coming through like Porto in 2004.
