Came across this today, quick analysis of 2011 CL Final. Rio himself said that at all times we outnumbered United players all over the pitch whatever area the ball was in. Koeman finished 6th with Southampton (their highest ever) and Everton 7th after they finished 11th the season before under Martinez, qualifying them both for Europa. He’s not perfect by any stretch but people tend to remember only his last season with Everton.- Vilarrubi

La Liga 2019/20
+1 This is why Valverde shouldn't be credited too much for the La Liga titles. We've won 8 titles in the last 11 years, two of the years we didn't win we were only 3 points behind (one with Tata lol) and we have Messi who has made La Liga his bitch. The theory that we could be worse without... -

Solid choice. Was hot and cold (very cold) at Everton, but the Dutch team are playing class football under him with big results against Germany, France, England. When you consider where Netherlands were before he took over, missing out on 2016 EURO's and 2018 World Cup, it's an even better...- Vilarrubi

At home.. in the CL.. against "weak" opponents. Pretty sure we will win comfortably, we could have a plank of wood as manager (not too different from Valverde) and still win these sorts of games.- Vilarrubi

Shit... this guys on fire this season. 13 goals in 10 games so far, only Lewandowski has more in the top leagues. He could end up top scorer in Serie A like Quagliarella and they still won’t give him player of the season though :crbust:- Vilarrubi
