    Champions League 2022/2023

He has coached a masterclass over these 2 legs. Practically shut PSG out from having any chances at all.

    Champions League 2022/2023

This game has been very comfortable for Bayern.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Hard to see why that goal was disallowed, doesn't look like Muller gets even a slight touch

    Champions League 2022/2023

Real were on verge of getting knocked out by this same PSG before Benzema made them crumble with heroics. Bayern not conceded yet.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Because of a keeper mistake, other than that haven't conceded any real chances. One more goal and they are through already.

    Champions League 2022/2023

This is Bayern. They are thoroughly German. Not flair or exciting football but very effective and functional.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Don't agree. Think Bayern have actually been very effective and done exactly what they set out to do. They never look great but they are so well organised and effective when you actually play them.

    Neymar Jr.

You're right, quality is the largest factor when predicting the result of games. But when it gets somewhat close tactics/cohesion can have a huge impact in swinging the result. France would walk most club sides just by virtue of quality but doubt they would ever be a top team/win any major...

I agree, I think both a cup and league format should be considered when evaluating the strength of a team. A league format for the big teams, is essentially testing - who can beat teams worse than them most often. Which big team can use their quality advantage to beat up on smaller teams more...

    Javier Tebas (LFP President)

Not surprising sponsors are pulling out. Product worse than it's ever been and most games are terrible to watch. Play is constantly disrupted by diving/fouling/cards, teams for the most part are defensive and don't score much, there is hardly any notable players outside of Atletico/Barca/Madrid...

Maybe in terms of reputation, but it's just impossible for NT football to be the same level as any top league or even EL, the players are only training with each other and rehearsing tactical concepts for a few weeks or even days. The quality of the players sure but physically and tactically its...

    Champions League 2022/2023

Do you mean the handball called or that they had to retake it? The retake was according exactly to the rules.

Laugh now at Chelsea and Potter whilst you still can because they will be back next season. Currently playing the joint leader of BuLi off the park, with some great vertical football.

    The Negreira case

I'm not sure if that's really relevant. If it is that we have tried to bribe refs, it doesn't matter if we were successful or not - the fact is we had the intention to do it and tried to do it.. Despite it being under Laporta"s administration in large part he doesn't seem to want to explain it...

    Antoine Griezmann

Xavi is a pure defensive coach at this point. There is more than enough evidence to see it. Cruyff said 'I'd rather win 5-4 than 1-0'. Xavi's mindset seems to be the complete opposite.

    La Liga 2022/23

The thing is it makes the rest even worse. The distance of other teams from Barca and Madrid, despite Barca and Madrid being.the worst for a long time historically themselves, is becoming bigger than it's ever been. The entire level of the league is reducing.

    La Liga 2022/23

Might be important to note that according to Archivo VAR (account which reviews the refereeing performances of every Liga Santander and smartbank game) Valencia is the team who has lost the most points out of anyone due to refereeing errors. We saw it yesterday potentially as well. Could just...

    La Liga 2022/23

They once were. But now seeing possession ball/JDP coaches in Prem is very common. Arteta, Pep, ETH all there that follow that school of football and coaching the top teams.

    La Liga 2022/23

Problem with Benzema today is he kept hovering outside the box instead of getting in there and being a receiver. Wants to one two with people all the way into the net but it doesn't always work like that against compact defenses.

    La Liga 2022/23

They were actually pretty good. Controlled the game mostly and created a lot of chances but their attackers just aren't performing like last season.
