    Well the B team has some great defenders and the problem to fix was NOW not a long term need. Anyway whos to say Hummels/Benatia etc would be a better fit than the two we have bought.

Even if we have overpaid for the two CB we have got in this window we now have 4 recognised CBs with a possible cover if worst came to worst in Mascherano and some good B team defenders. Obviously its not the Hummels/Benatia everyone wanted but we have added height, strength, pace...

    Exactly. Pre-season is about getting fitness and preparing for the new competitive season. Results are good but are not essential.
