    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

When the boogeyman goes to sleep every night he checks his closet for Lionel Messi.

    9 - Samuel Eto'o

I know what you mean, it's a very strange sensation.

So far he has 6 goals in 5 matches.

    Daniel Alves

    I remember that. Awesome goal.

    Pedro Rodriguez

Yea I was screaming at the tv couldn't believe he didn't score that one. But he's only going to get better, last year was his breakout season. Now the real fun starts, he's got a lot more confidence and he's ready to make that leap to "world class" player. I expect a lot of good things from Pedrito.

    Sergio Busquets

Played great today. Mascherano has to improve his passing if he wants to take this man's spot. And I realized that today how important his short passes to Xavi and Iniesta are, though they don't seem impressive, it's very important and he does it so well. Holds the ball until the right time to...

    Xavi Hernández

I wonder how many goals Messi has scored from Xavi's passes.

    Guardiola Yes or No ?

ummm on the basis that under pep we have won 8 titles in 2 years, I'm going to have to disagree with you.

    Andrés Iniesta

Agreed. Even with Xavi on he just wasn't his usual self. He just made a couple of dribbles here and there but nothing from him really. Poor match, but then again even Messi was off. Just not our night.

    Eric Abidal

Indeed. He was born on a dark and eerie night on September the 11, 1979. lol He's 31 today.

    Xavi Hernández

Yea. Unless he sleeps with the light on.

    Andrés Iniesta

Man I remember when it was around the 88th minute saying to myself "I don't care if we lose anymore I just want it to be over!" lol just so fucking nerve wrecking. It was torture. And then 92 minute where it was a mix of accepting defeat, but still having hope because the ball was still rolling...

    Eric Abidal

Well after playing with this Barca side anything else is just blah. And he knows it. He'll retire unless maybe he wanted to make some extra mula. But football-wise, he knows after Barca there's nothing that will really fulfill him.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Agree. She would look better with all those clothes off.

    Xavi Hernández

Yea but Del Bosque keeps experimenting with Cesc as "Xavi" and it doesn't seem to work out. Those are big shoes to fill.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

Man that run he made, think it was second half, when he passed it to Di Maria and he scored tho it was offside what a great play.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

I think it would be even more unfair if Xavi retired without one. Yea Sneijder did have a better season but Xavi has just been so consistent over the last few years and he's been the heart of both Barcelona and Spain who have won everything, and if he doesn't win it now who knows.

    Gerard Piqué

He's definitely captain material. Don't know..just seems like he would be a great captain, you just get that vibe. He's a Leader.

    Diego Forlan

"And the Cristiano Ronaldo award goes to... *opens card* ...Cristiano Ronaldo!!

    Sergio Busquets

I just realized he's won everything you can possibly win with the exception of a Euro Cup in a matter of 2 years. And he's what, 22?
