    UEFA Champions League 2014-15

Schalke is playing shockingly bad... That defending on 1-0 was atrocious. It's borderline unbelievable that two defenders let him slip in front of them and just stand on their heels watching him head it in like that.

Barca can buy players this summer, says Fifa

Yup, which is very good news in my ears. The challenge will be to sign top players and find a good solution on what they will be doing those first 6 months before they can start playing for us. I guess them staying at their old clubs for half a season is the best option, which makes it no more...

Barca can buy players this summer, says Fifa

This sentence from the article makes it seem like this isn't necessarily the case: "there is nothing to stop the Catalans from talking to potential targets or clubs - or even purchasing players - this summer as long as those new recruits are not registered before January 2016."

Barca can buy players this summer, says Fifa

You're both right in a way. This is why good scouts and a good sporting director is extremely important, to sift out the talents who are being held back by their current team, and who can explode if given a better enviroment to grow, and those who mostly stagnate and never reach the next level...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

You should be resting, Messi! No sleep for legends! :messi:

Barca can buy players this summer, says Fifa

So if we buy a player but have to wait with registering him, is he allowed to train with the team sort of like Suarez did? How does this work?

    Camp Nou

I guess the "Messi subnormal" chants at 0:10 in this video from the game against Valencia was no problem at all for the LFP? Oh, this was also the game where Messi received a yellow card for getting hit in the head with a coin and bleeding. La Liga is certainly the pinnacle of fairness...

    Ivan Rakitić

The way he masterminded this one is just brilliant, that was an insane bit of play. So sad that Neymar didn't find Pedro in the end, that would have been a perfect goal.

    Luis Enrique

Good post, and I really agree with you. I haven't been this excited watching Barca play in a long, long time. I think Lucho is really getting things right now, the football he has us playing is so fun and exciting to watch, and it seems to be the most effective football we've played in years as...

    Ivan Rakitić

Well said! While he was an awesome midfielder when he joined in the summer, he has improved so many facets of his game (the one-touch linkup, the positioning and anticipation as you say) in just half a season. That's very quick improvement, and shows great talent. And he has that perfect...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Doubt it, he's very good at conserving energy during games like this while still managing to be extremely influential. He didn't even look like he was breaking a sweat at the end of the game. There is now 6 days until the next match, so with some smart training he can recover well this coming...

    Lliga: Barca - Levante 5-0

I agree, that's the one thing I'd want to change as well. But then again, we haven't been in the trainings and it could easily be the case that Suarez came in feeling tired today and Neymar was full of energy. :) Suarez should be rested in the next Copa game against Villareal as he's one card...

    La Liga 14/15

I completely agree, you get a good representation of the best teams from each country/league. Don't fix something that isn't broken.

    Emre Can

This thread is getting a bit Messi now to be honest... ;)

    Gerard Piqué

That's the thing, he's basically perfect for Barca. His ballhandling is superb, the best in the world for his position in my opinion, and when his general defensive game is at such a great level as it is now (which reminds me of him at his best some years ago), there is just no other CB in the...

    1 - Marc-Andre ter Ansplant

While I also agree that he should and could have done better on the goal he conceded, there are a couple of factors that came together that I think caught him a bit off guard. I think he would make that save in a normal attacking situation, here's why: Jonathan Dos Santos was laying on the...

    Luis Enrique

Yeah that sounds like a good idea. :) That really makes the card he received for arguing yesterday stand out as incredibly silly. Yeah, he really needs to stop that.

    Luis Enrique

A bit less than two weeks, but you're right. The problem is that I'd rather him play the Malaga game so that he's relatively match-fit going into the game against City. So by that thinking, he should also be among the players rested against Levante. Perhaps only playing the first 45 minutes...
