CL: Barca - Man City 1-0 (3-1 agg.)

I always hate the last hour of waiting before big games like this. I'm really excited and anxious, sitting here listening to music generally trying to make the time go faster. It's funny, when the game starts I become really calm. Until the first chance happens that is

Here's an excellent article from Totalbarca that breaks down the match against Malaga, and gives some thoughts heading into the City game. Well worth the read: http://www.totalbarca.com/2015/news/excellent-malaga-end-barcas-win-streak/

Imagine if we were to keep playing like we did after the Anoeta for the rest of the season and ended up winning the CL and the league after a Madrid slip-up, and also grabbed the Copa. This chance is still very much alive as of right now, so let's wait and see how it all turns out.

I hope they go all out attack on their hometurf. Leave space open, please.

    Claudio Bravo

It's in the splitseconds the difference between a mistake or not lie :pep:

    Claudio Bravo

Yeah, in the slowmo his facial expression pretty much revealed him thinking "ooookay a backpass here, that's not the best idea... WHATTHE!?!??!".

One loss and the crisis starts up again then? This doesn't even qualify as news anymore with this team... :coffee:

    Martin Odegaard

Some awesome control, touch and vision he's showing there. Those through-balls at the end there.... Impressive. Ancelotti and Perez both attended the game, and both were reportedly very pleased with what they saw. Perez actually high-fived a reporter from the Norwegian newspaper "VG" and said...

He got a three game suspension because of a red card. He has one game left to sit out, the one against Barca in Manchester. He's back for the return leg though.

    14 - Javier Mascherano

Fun conversation between Mascherano and Zabaleta. The part at 4:50 cracked me up: Pablo: "Over here they're talking about you scoring your first goal" Masc: "Ah no, I told them not to put that question in..." Pablo: "Well you're a centre-half, what do they want? You get the ball and start...

    Great post Bernie!

    Sergio Busquets

Busquets: "I don’t want people talking about me, for good or bad. I don’t do many interviews. I don’t have Twitter." [guardian] Busquets: "I don’t long for praise or the lead role. If I did, I wouldn’t play in this position. I love my role, I love the job I do." Busquets: "Everyone talks...

    FC Barcelona B (Barça Atlètic)

Is the "HD" button that can't be clicked in that official LFP stream some sort of joke? The resolution in this stream makes it look like legos that run around on something green, I can hardly even see the ball.

I'm open ears, if Iniesta has a good game this is the one with highest potential for goals. It will be interesting to see what Lucho chooses. I think it will be one of these two lineups.

CL: Barca - Man City 1-0 (3-1 agg.)

That sounds like the best midfield to my ears. Xavi hasn't played that much lately and should be fresh, and he's shown that he can be absolutely awesome when rested properly. The control he gives could be key in an away game like this as well. I don't know, one of Iniestas qualities is his...

That was brilliant, he manages those great drible moments every now and again.

    Marco Verratti

Yeah that's one of the features that makes him reminiscent of Xavi, he looks to be extremely difficult to dispossess even when under a lot of pressure.

CL: Barca - Man City 1-0 (3-1 agg.)

After yesterdays loss I expect to see a heroic effort from the team in order to make up for what happened against Malaga both for the fans and themselves. It could end up sparking a fire in the team, and in the long run this loss against Malaga could be a good wake-up call at an important moment...

    Marc Bartra

So it was somehow Mathieus fault that Alves did his mistake? It was also his fault that none of our forwards could score? This logic is completely broken and you know it, it's completely arbitrary. Didn't lord Song almost exclusively play in games we won as well? I guess we should bring him...
