Not about levers themselves, but how they reported the whole thing. If I recall correctly the article made some allegations, accusations without bothering to tell the readers what the club actually did, plus a lot of “backroom conversations” that nobody knows how the heck they obtained and came...

I read a few articles from them, among which the one about us deeply in crisis last year (I actually paid $1 to read that stupid article, silly me), with nothing concrete, nothing but speculations and I felt like it was like a novel. Shitty stuff, will never read their stuff again. Apparently...

The Athletic FC is a shitty source of transfer rumors, a shitty source of anything news-worthy in my opinion actually. Just another media outlet trying to grab eyeballs and clicks with nothing but sensationalism.

Spotify (them in particular, for the paltry 5m they gave us) or another company will never be able to change how people refer to Camp Nou, it will always be known as Camp Nou.

What I don't get is the interest rate reported by the Spanish outlets. Palco23 says the interest rate will be 10% for the three tranches of bonds that we will issue at 500m each, however 2Playbook says the purpose of going to this "green bonds" route is suppose to finance cheaper, with lower...

    Premier League 2022/2023

I thought United played pretty well, even when they were behind. Relentless attack in the first half. Not quite confident about the EL game at all.

Hope it is not true. If it is true, we will have to look elsewhere for the loan. It has to be done.

    Premier League 2022/2023

United fans might be celebrating like crazy like those Newcastle fans did when the news of the Saudis taking over their club broke. Manchester derby will be known as the battle of the sheiks...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

CVC: Clubs ceded away roughly 9% of their TV rights for the next 50 years, AND they will have to repay the money they got from CVC. So essentially a loan. No early buy-back options reported. Levers: We sold 25% of our TV rights for the next 25 years, we don't need to repay the money Six Street...

    Premier League 2022/2023

Not sure if it will be QSI who will buy Manchester United (said to be a group of Qatari "private investors" but hehe, who knows?), but if it is QSI or people associated with the Qatari state, I think Manchester United will become their center of attention and the new Qatari flagship club, no...

https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20230208/1001936549/tremenda-rajada-matias-messi-barca-laporta.html Bitter, sure, but what an ass this Matias Messi is.

Ridiculous comparison. Barca selling future rights is short-sighted but not illegal (unless La Liga or UEFA specifically specifies that selling future rights is illegal, which of course is not), what those that City was accused of were illegal activities.

    Premier League 2022/2023

What a terrible game from City. Pep is more and more meh as time goes on. Unfortunately but the CL is Bayern’s to lose at this point.

    Vitor Roque

Do you guys think the fact that so many younger, promising players joined Dortmund was due to Dortmund actually having really great scouts, or the players wanting to go to Dortmund knowing its high replenishment rate, its reputation for starting young players and being used as a springboard for...

    Vitor Roque

Perhaps not, essentially it is a gamble, and in my opinion a necessary one. If we never gamble on young prospects like him, we will be spending upwards of 100m and much more later on, money we won't have in a great while. Or spending 50m+ on rather established players like Torres. In my opinion...

    Vitor Roque

I was thinking that as long as he doesn't fail miserably (like completely flops, so bad that to the level that he can't even compete in European club football, has a career-ending injury etc.), which I think is unlikely, given how the market goes in a few years I think we can still sell him to...

Buy him, even if he doesn't turn out that great, the future resale value should cover the cost.

    Joan Laporta

I don't think so. Sure everyone has ego and wants to be appreciated, but to these billionaires and rich men and women, what motivates them the most is not how well they are known or how much people love them or appreciate them, it is the money that counts. I don't think those billionaire...

Yeah, I think Newcastle is too early to tell. They are the flagship club of the Saudis and it is still early, the club is in the ascending stage so they are pumping in a lot of money. We will see how they fare in 5, 10 years and if the Saudis get bored etc.
