    Franck Ribery or David Silva

    1. I never questioned that. I just brought up Robben when someone stated that Ribery run at defenders like no one else does outside Barca, when i see Robben doing the same currently. 2. I just said i didnt see him diving in Bayern. Is there sth wrong with my statement? 3. Honestly, you use...

    Franck Ribery or David Silva

    1. is ofc true but hardly the matter, as i am not promoting him as transfer target, just comparing to Ribery 2. i havent seen him diving in Bayern so far 3. so does Ribery (and perhaps even less) 4. Ribery had hm ... like 3 different injuries so far this season ... and only a single bundesliga...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

There is still no evidence. The press might only use the witness as a source (and even that guy has nothing else to include there than "i saw him ..."), but then its the witness who is doing the defamation. And honestly, if some lawyers of Guti or any other football star or club takes over, the...

Dont expect too much from the media. W/out clear evidence no one can accuse someone to take drugs. Thats defamation and can be very very costy for the media. And defaming peoples idols is also not very popular. Its the same with Ralf Schumachers homosexuality. Everyone knows it but know one...

Not really. Coke can only be detected within 2-3 days after consumption, at least if you only do blood or urine tests (and no hair analysis). So imagine a player has a match on saturday evening, goes to the club afterwards and does some coke there. Even if he is tested after lets a say a CL...

    Best Attacking trio? 2.0

I also wasnt meant to say its a wise choice putting Iniesta on LW as there is no capable replacement for his MC spot in the current squad. But theoretically and with an isolated view on the attacking trio, id say that Iniesta-Ibra-Messi is the best that can be formed out of the current squad.

    Robinho

Wouldnt be wondering if Robinho would play a good WC. Those brazilian divas always showed much more loyalty to the brazilian NT than to their clubs.

Hlebs form is going up lately, as is the form of the whole Stuttgart squad after the new coach arrived. He is still nowhere special or flashy, but maybe he will get there ...

Berg very rarely performed well and he got enough chances, at least on the BL. I guess you saw him scoring in the Euro League, thats how you got this impression. But you play mostly crap teams in the EL compared to the BL, so that doesnt mean much. So he hardly ever plays, even with Guerrero...

Dani Alves vs. Maicon - or who's the best RB in the world?

Both are extremely strong players, and w/out doubt the two best on their pos. They are also very different. For Brazil i would also prefer Maicon, b/c hes stronger in defense and generally a rather straight player, i.e. less tricky. Brazil offers enough there already, thus id say Maicon makes up...

which of these is affecting Barca most?

Id say its the lack of squad depths, esp. in the central (creative) midfield

Yep. Although its not his shot in general, as its very precise. But it absolutely lacks the power.

    Ronaldinho

Its always funny to see how these brazilian divas getting back into football half a year prior to the WC. Its also funny to see how they drop down to where they have been the former 3 yrs right afterwards ... wont be different in this case imo

    Sandro/Cesc vs. LaportaII/Villa

Both would be awesome signings, best possible two. However i leaning slightly towards Cesc. A healthy, productive central midfield is much more important for our game than who is standing upfront. Im also not sure how a more classic striker would do on the left flank. Messi on the right is...

I have my hopes high on Toprak. Bought him in my fantasy football league for a bargain price few months ago. he just came back from a serious injury (heavy burnings) but made a good debut in a test match. @Beast How good is that Szalai guy? Any chance he could make a good impact in Mainz right...
