Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

Is Bayern's wage mass really just 250m? If so, perhaps they have an average wage of 15m gross or so a year for their players, a few are higher but the majority of them are less than that amount, I'd guess.

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

It is perplexing how our wage mass can still be that high. Without knowing the numbers, it is really frustrating.

    European Super League

It is a lost cause, what is even the point to keep holding the fort at this point? Just to keep antagonizing UEFA so they can dish out harsher punishments against us?

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

I am kinda torn. On one hand I don't want Messi to return as it doesn't benefit us, on the other hand I really don't want him to take the huge money and go to Saudi Arabia as I think such a move will tarnish his image. Come on Messi, just go back to Argentina.

Well, it is a clever scheme to mask the fact that they are state-owned, just like how PSG is "not" state-owned...

Yeah, with the limitless money, the Saudi are building all sorts of crazy stuff that is unimaginable elsewhere. We will have to see how it goes. However, I think with regard to their football league, no money in the world can buy a top league. Still will be mostly a destination for top players...

Ahh, got it. Nationalizing these clubs and pumping state money into it to balloon their spending power. More near-retirement stars to Saudi Arabia I see.

Sounds like they are trying to privatize these clubs (currently owned by the Saudi state?) and encouraging private investments in these clubs, as part of an effort to make the Saudi league more attractive?

    The Negreira case

Interesting development, to say the least. Was Negreira's son, Javier Negreira, a soci in the past? I read that he was connected to the club. Otherwise why would people in the club go through him or his father and his company to "launder money"? It makes sense to find someone who is connected to...

    Women's football

Perhaps it is a mistake to start Lucie Bronze right after her recent injury. This felt like deja vu, when we lost to Wolfsburg before: We dominated the play but physicality-wise we can't match them. Maybe this is why Spain can't beat the likes of Germany and Sweden etc.

    The Negreira case

I don't believe Negreira said the club asked him to exclude officials from Madrid, rather it was "..request that the Competition Committee, responsible for disciplinary sanctions against players, not be composed entirely of Madrid judges", according to MD. That, of course, can be argued as...

    The Negreira case

That makes zero sense though. Why would we be paying him, by proxy or not, after we officially cut off the payments in 2018? If we were being investigated by the tax authorities back then for paying him all those years, continuing to pay him and worse, concealing the payments through a proxy is...

    The Negreira case

Yeah, I don't think anybody would be so foolish to believe that we paid 7.3m for those 600-ish referee reports and there is definitely much more to it, however, they still have to establish a criminal motive, intent or however you call it to prove the club is guilty of trying to influence the...

    The Negreira case

What are the available evidence that you are referring to, and those that are not available? As far as I know, all has been made public is that we paid Negreira or his company 7.3m over the years; while some 600-ish referee reports have been uncovered so far, and there were reports of Negreira...

    The Negreira case

Why is his son being investigated for criminality? If all he did was compiling those referee reports for us, what was the merit of the alleged criminality? After all it was his father that was being paid by us for allegedly trying to influence the refrees, right? Also, extending the period of...

    The Negreira case

Like I mentioned before, I would be shocked if this case had anything to do with the Negreira case, considering both the amount of money allegedly involved among the four referees and the timeline of the alleged purchases (quite recent).
