    World Cup '26 qualifiers discussion

Outstanding performance by England under Tuchel at last. Serbia rarely get beat at home, never mind smashed. And it was without some big players, Bellingham, Saka, Palmer... One thing England have lacked in recent tournaments is a midfield that has balance. Anderson is a godsend. And Wharton...

    Florian Wirtz

Yeah, I was wrong to say the pace of the game, but you're given far more time on the ball in German generally. It might only be a second or two less in the PL but it makes a big difference and is something players have to adapt to. Also, as I live in Germany I attended a handful of games last...

    Florian Wirtz

He needs more time. The pace of the Premier League is far quicker than the Bundesliga and it takes some players longer to adapt. But I do think he has been hyped up a bit too much by the Germans.

    Harry Kane

I think they are very different number 9's, albeit they both obviously score tons of goals. Lewandowski is far more athletic and quicker off the mark. Kane's hold up play and ability to link play is on a different level to just about every other 9 I can think of.

    Harry Kane

Don't think age really comes into it with Kane as he has aged like fine wine. He can't run about as much as he did 3 or 4 years ago but everything else in his game is better than ever.

    Jack Grealish

Is he really known for his looks though? Isn't it more his massive calves? I don't think he's ever been seen as an idol like David Beckham.

    Harry Kane

Any truth in the rumours that Barcelona are looking to sign him in the summer to replace Leandowski? Would Barca fans take him? He seems really happy at Bayern to me. But I suppose Barcelona are one of the very few clubs it's almost impossible to say no to if theres a chance of signing.

    Florian Wirtz

    What a deluded take.

    Jack Grealish

Guardiola also has to take some blame. Grealish was far more immature when he was younger and played for Villa, yet that didn't stop him from getting MOTM most weeks. Guardiola turns flair players into system players. He's done the same with Foden, who now requires a functioning system to shine...

    Premier League 25/26

Think not having a ball winning number 6 is more of a problem.

    Premier League 25/26

He will have a great game every now and again, but nowhere near enough to warrant being a regular starter at a top club.

Konate is absolutely woeful. If Real Madrid are daft enough to want him he should be dropped off at the airport this evening.

    Premier League 25/26

He was our best player in pre-season. Dowman is getting all the hype, and what a talent he is, but this kid is just as special. Just glad they are both English.

    Luis Diaz

Of course they would have paid it. You're just making things up as you go along. They paid 100 million for Harry Kane knowing he wasn't a purchase for the long-term.

    Rayan Cherki

It's not the PL though. The tempo of games are generally far slower.

    Rayan Cherki

His talent is obvious. But I think he will be one of them players that needs a full season to get used to the physicality and speed of the PL. He won't get time on the ball as he often did in France.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

As good as he has been and still in, he's missed a handful of sitters over the years. And in more important games than friendlies too. I can't remember who they were playing, but he literally missed an open goal for Poland a few years back when it was harder to miss.

    14 - Marcus Rashford

Grealish is an outstanding footballer if you use him correctly and you also accept he will never score a lot of goals.
  19. T

    Luis Diaz

Most the Liverpool fans on the official forum haven't been to Anfield in their lives ffs. Regardless, people have different opinions. But it would be madness to not take 75 million for a 29 year old that would be worth half of that in less than a couple of years time when his contract was up...

    Premier League 24/25

I agree that we don't need Isak. But if we do sign him then I still expect Ekitike to play plenty or minutes. He can play off the left so he could easily be in the same team as Isak. Spending that money on Isak on top of what we have already spent this summer means it will just be seen by some...
