    Johan Cruyff

what's that all about? but in any case, changing one's opinion after 5 years is hardly a crime, especially given all that has come to pass in that 5 years.

    Wayne Rooney

it was still stupid, though. he was certainly as productive as Messi for large swathes of last season, but his play was nowhere near as good.

    that's alright then. carry on.

    Andrés Iniesta

that settles it. he's better than Zidane.

    14 - Javier Mascherano

I'm sorry, have I travelled to an alternate world where Mascherano has been bad for us and has complained about sitting on the bench? only you lot could make signing the best DM in the world for 17m and have him be a content backup into a bad thing. twats. the lot of you.

the best analogy so far. but frankly, fuck that bitch, our current one is the best around.

    1/8 final opponent

poor rehab is the biggest problem with injuries. surgery and stuff isn't a big deal now, it's just how well the player is looked after during the final stages of his rehab when he rejoins the club. Arsenal are terrible at this, hence their massive injury list and injury prone stars. as for the...

    World's best Defender?

who would you nominate? Samuel? Burdisso? Godin? :p

    World's best Defender?

yeah, fair enough. they are certainly more "pure" defenders with glorious all-around skillsets.

    Peter Crouch

Crouch is a poor man's ANDREW THOMAS CARROLL. I think whenever he is mentioned, it should be his full name and it should be written in allcaps, such is his epic.

    World's best Defender?

jam my man, you make a good point about Vidic. but for that "type" of defender there's none better. anyway, as for Puyol's big game ability making up for his small game inability, obviously this is the case or he wouldn't still be at the club. but when ranking the finest defenders around...

    World's best Defender?

Nesta and Rio, on their day, are simply impassable. you can't discount that. Puyol is too much of a liability in normal games to rank him up there. he's way inconsistent.
  15. Metaphysical

    World's best Defender?

it's Vidic or Piqué. Nesta and Rio are by far the finest when they're fully fit and firing, but that's not something one can rely on. special mentions to T. Silly, Puyol, Lucio and Pepe (aka Lucio Jr.) who are just a notch below the above foursome.

    Carlos Tevez

you are this forum's Carlos Tevez. thereisaidit  he wants to quit football and go back to BA. but I reckon his slave-driver will try and force another big move. he'll go to Inter. Milito will go to Reial and then they'll use that cash to sign Charlie. City will then sign Torres or...

    14 - Javier Mascherano

Badger's not been bad for us at all. he's done his job when he's had to and shown the creative side of his game is far superior than given credit for. I don't expect him to be firing on all cylinders for us yet, and frankly I'm amazed that one yellow card early on in a game that he then played...

    Carlos Tevez

I'm a bit shocked to see you say that, Nolan. frankly I reckon you'd be saying the exact same things if you had be away from BA and live in North-West England for 3 years. :p  and I dunno if he's a merc, he's just owned by that Joorabchian piece of shit so has to go where he's told. it...
